My 50 pound Tapco amp was too much for my Odyssey mixing console rack. It was over a hundred pounds with the mixing console, power supply, CD player and shelf, and the amp. Way over.I bought this case just for the amp, and with it's depth I can leave the input XLR cables and the power cord attached to the amp. Needing rear support for the amp, I just drilled the sides in the correct 4 locations, and installed 4 each 1/4" carriage bolts through the sides to the mounting ears on the back of the amp. With washers and nuts tightened against the wood wall at the interior, and more nuts and washers sandwiching the amp ears, it is rock solid. The galvanized bolt heads look like they were meant to be there, matching the case's metal trim and hardware.
With this sturdy case, it's end panels latched, the amp is in about as nice a place as it can be when not being used. Yep, it's heavy with the amp in it, but now I can carry my stuff by myself with less fear of injuring myself.
I highly recommend this case to protect your equipment, and looking professional in doing so.If the carpet covering works for you then this case will be a quality addition to your gear. The wood structure is heavier than that of the flight zone type but if weight is not an issue, this case is worth the price.
