I was asked a few weeks ago by ME Electronics to give an honest review of their Air-Fi Venture Stereo Bluetooth Wireless Headphones in exchange for a pair of them; I agreed to do so. My boyfriend, who is a top reviewer on Amazon, agreed to help me with the review as he has had more experience with various headphones (iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, Bose, etc). Below you will find our combined review:
We give these headphones a 4 star rating. I will address the positives first then move on to the improvements that are needed.
POSITIVES:
1) These headphones are extremely convenient. They can be used to listen to music and also to talk on the phone. Killing two birds with one stone.
2) They can be both wireless and used with a wire. Being wireless is just a really nice option and is appreciated.
3) They have a good battery life. It is also nice that when it is connected to a phone, tablet, or computer, it displays how much battery is left. No more guessing!
4) These are great for talking on the phone. It is not muffled as when you listen to music; I will talk about that in the improvements section.
5) When you are either on the phone speaking to someone or listening to music, the headphones cancel out a lot of sound. The user is able to enjoy the music or concentrate on the conversation going on. When my boyfriend was trying them out and I was in the same room as him, I could not hear the music he was playing despite being very close to him. He listens to music very loudly and I still could not hear. This is not the case with the iPhone 5 headphones he uses constantly. When he put those in and turns his music on, I might as well be listening to whatever is playing because I can hear the music clear as day!
IMPROVEMENTS:
1) Comfort. These ARE comfortable for about an hour or so, but wearing them for hours on end is not. When I was completing some work for my job, I was using them to listen to music for about an hour and they gave me no issues. My boyfriend however tested them out for much longer than that: using them to listen to music, talk on the phone, and watch videos on his Ipad. He complained about the comfort when wearing them for an extended period of time. I also have larger ears for a female and I have 3 piercings in each ear and I noticed that the headphones somewhat irritated me because of the piercings. May not be any concern to males or females without piercings, but I figured it was worth mentioning.
2) Sound is muffled when listening to music. We noticed that this is only a problem when listening to music, not when talking on the phone. It almost sounds like you are in a tunnel. The sound quality isn't horrible, but it also isn't phenomenal.
These are the only two major draw backs we found with these headphones. The list that follows is concerning things we nit-picking at:
1) Not that they are advertised as such, but these would most likely not be ideal for the gym. They are slightly heavy (compared to others we have) and when tested by jumping around, they did not fall off, but did not stay in one place either.
2) Although it is very nice and convenient that there are buttons on the headphones, they do feel cheap. In order to utilize them, you would have to memorize which one is where.
All in all, these are a good pair of headphones. Before receiving an e-mail from ME Electronics, I had never heard of them. The people who I emailed with back and forth were extremely polite and quick to answer me. I believe they would have great customer service if anything were to be wrong with the product. They seem like a great up and coming company and the convenience of these headphones is very nice.

I have had a pair of the original air-fi 32's for 9 months, and now purchased another pair, the new glossy Air-Fi 32;s in white, the "Runaway" model. I also just purchased the AF 52 Bluetooth stereo noise cancelling full ear phones and they are INCREDIBLE. I also have a pair of the Bose full ear comfort 15's and the cord is terrible, the batteries must be replaced constantly, AAA batteries. 12 hour max usage. You must carry a pair of batteries with you all the time. Bluetooth is finally here with great sound and rechargeable batteries with a minimum of 16 hour usage between charges with GREAT SOUND. The comfort of the AF 52's and mix of bass, treble and midrange sounds makes listening unlike any Bluetooth headphones on the market. The air-fi 32's are also amazing! They are so light you do not even know you are wearing them. They also are incredible, very light, crisp and clear, brilliant technology. Do not even hesitate. Great company with great customer service. Forget the name brands. These AF 52's are so comfortable as well as the air 32;s and you can by 1 of each for HALF THE PRICE of the new BOSE BLUETOOTH Headphones. If you are tired of cords and love Bose products, you will love these. These 2 pairs are your answer. UNBELIEVABLE. You can walk comfortable as the fit is perfect. I give both models a 100 on a scale of 1-100. Enjoy. WOW.Purchased these for the gym and they are perfect: snug over-the-ear fit, easy to use, durable and incredible sound. I have a huge head and these are tremendously comfortable. I've owned Yurbuds, Motorola, Sony and Klipsch headphones and/or earbuds and I can say with zero hesitation that these are the best headphones I've purchased. Even the features I didn't necessarily care about are great: the noise cancellation is strong, they handle phone calls extremely well, there's a battery-life indicator when using with iOS.Buy these headphones. You won't be disappointed.Great sounding headphones. They quit pairing after a week, but Amazon sent a new set within a day. The new phones work great and I could not be happier.Pros:
* Easy pairing with my iPhone 5 and my Windows 7 laptop.
* Comfortable. These headphones are very comfortable. I listen to audio books on a daily basis for several hours at a time and I haven't had any ear soreness caused by pressure from the headphone cups since they are truly over the ear. I barely noticed the band across the top of my head or the ear cups.
* These headphones do not generate heat so my ears don't get hot or even warm after using them for 4-5 hours at a time.
* The combination of a resizable band and swivel ear cups makes these a versatile pair of headphones in that they fit me very good as well as my husband and son. Between the three of us, we range from very small to large in head and ear sizes.
* Music is a great experience on these headphones, easily hearing different ranges and with a full deep bass.
* Can easily answer phone calls and can hear callers clearly.
* Long battery life. I can listen to a complete audio book without having to switch to another headset. I have listened two audio books and music in between on one charge, that's over 17 hours.
* I like the On/Off voice prompts when powering the headphones on and off.
* Battery indicator on the iPhone's top right display area, letting you know how much power is left.
* Can be used as wired headphones by plugging in a 3.5 mm audio cable, one is provided with this headset or you can use your own.
* Comes with a standard miniUSB charging cable.
* Easy to use controls that are easy to use and find by touch. There are three control buttons on each headphone:
* Left side: Power/Answer/Reject/Hold/Cancel Call button, Volume control down and Volume control up
* Right side: Next track, Play/Pause and Previous track
Neutral:
* I have only one complaint about these headphones, is while it does block some ambient noise, they aren't complete noise canceling. These aren't advertised as being noise canceling but if they were these headphones would be near perfect.
Cons:
* While I can hear phones calls clearly, I've had callers say I sound like I'm in a tunnel or that I'm speaking right on top of the mic during calls.
Overall, I would most definitely recommend the Air-Fi Venture AF52 headphones to anyone who values a comfortable fit, superb sound quality and a long battery life in a wireless headset.
