If you look a *real* Centro plug, you'll notice it has 4 contacts, and 3 black insulation rings. One contact is the ground, then one each for left & right audio out, and one contact for microphone audio back to the phone. This adapter only has 3 contacts, which means when you plug it in, two of the phone's internal contacts are getting shorted. If this were acceptable, I image Palm would have done that on their adapter, but they didn't. I wouldn't get this adapter anywhere near my phone.

This product is incorrectly labeled as "Palm Centro 2.5mm To 3.5mm Stereo Audio Jack Adapter (2 rings)". After a round of 12 e-mails, including asking me to send them a picture of the original packaging, the company finally offered to refund my money but not the shipping and handling. I have no respect for this company or the people behind it.

I kept thinking that there was something wrong with my Centro... or my 'phones but no, its the adapter. At BEST it only converted one channel. I know its cheap (boy is it cheap). Do NOT buy this, it doesn't work right.

The only adapter I am aware of that lets you hear in stereo. Works great with my Palm Centro...the other adapters I've tried only let sound come out of one ear-piece. Cheap, too!
