This is a tough light weight punchy little amp. I'm surprised by how much it can put out. It's fabulous for personal practice and has a beautifuly crisp sound. I've also used it as a keyboard amp in the symphony orchestra in which I play. It serves wonderfully to accurately produce a harp sound with a synth. You can't beat the value of this amp.Buy Hartke A-Series 35 Watt Bass Combo Amp Now
I play in a church band in Illinois and occasionally in Omaha, NE and this amp is perfect. I bought one for each location. Because of the XLR output, I can use the amp as my personal monitor and also pump the signal right into the sound system so it can be mixed with the other instruments and voices. No additional direct box needed. That was the feature that sold me on this one. It's also lightweight and has all the other features (or more) of similarly priced bass amps. I highly recommend it.

Great amp, kick back, with music inputs (from CD's etc....) headphone capable. Nice sound. It will not rock a club, but that is not the intension. In fact if you had a couple of guitars, a sax, keyboards and drums you probably would be hard pressed to be heard... if your working low volume with some acoustic guitarists and a singer or two it handles that with no problem. Nice tones. I like it. AND it's VERY portable, but don't be misled, it is not a featherweight amp it does have some mass. When I plugged in this amp with my Fender P-bass, I cranked the volume on my bass all the way up and put the volume on the amp at 5 (as recommend by the owner's manual). Then I started to play, and there was an awful rattling coming from somewhere in the cabinet, sounded like the speaker cone itself. This caused me to turn down the volume on the amp to around 2.5-3, the rattling still occurred. I decided then to try turning on the limiter all the way, which helped a little, but the rattling was still there and rather evident. Thinking then that it might be my crap cord that was causing it, I switched to a Vox cable that I knew was good. Same problem. As I was intending to use this amp for small gigs, that simply won't do, and I plan on returning it.
