Many new TVs do not have analog out, which is needed for things like my Sennheiser wireless headphones.Thank goodness that this adapter allows me to now hook up my headphones through the optical audio connection on the TV.

AB FAB.Hooks up easy and works perfect. Got two of them now and would get a third if I was in need of.I've been using a Sennheiser R-120 wireless earphone charger and transmitter with my tv, but upon purchasing a Samsung Smart tv, which has only a optical digital speaker outlet, I needed a way to use the R120 with the Samsung. The DAC works great and does the job! You do have to change the Samsung's sound output to pcm, which is no big deal. A head's up, Amazon website has the dac and cable in several places. This seller probably has the optical cable cheaper than anyplace where it is not combined with the dac.This product works as advertised and the sound is great all I expected. Buy it without fear if you need this conversion.
