I recently purchased my keyboard and I'm truly enjoying it. It has many features which I haven't learned how to use as yet, but so far it's been wonderful. I'm a person that has been involved with music since I was a child (an old harmonica player) although, not a musician nor music reader, and I'm enjoying the accompany features in particular. I've read reviews about keyboards during my search for the one I wanted, and I found them to be off the beaten track. The price of these keyboards, and in particular the WK500, gives you much more than you have a right to expect. I'm very satisfied and will surely do future business with Amazon.com.My family was very impressed with this keyboard as soon as we pulled it out of the box. Nice, sturdy keys not cheap feeling like some of the other low-end keyboards that we tried. Not to say this one is low end it's priced that way but the quality is a cut above. Bought it for my son to learn piano at school and it has served him very well.Don't expect much from the headphones though. They are very cheap and broke within a couple of days of getting them. The software that comes with the keyboard is very impressive though. You can plug the keyboard into the computer via a USB cable and get personal tutoring on how to play piano. What a bonus!
I think you'll be very happy if you purchase this keyboard. My wife researched for hours reading reviews on Amazon and other sites before picking this one and we're extremely happy with the purchase.Keyboard sounds good, has some decent accessories and is easy enough to use. For the price, certainly a good value. This was a great deal I found. The keyboard sounds like its worth over $2,000 easy. And the accessories were a great bonus!!I have learned to play the piano many years ago on a real piano. Let's make something clear this is nothing like that.
Now, if you understand that at this price you will not get a keyboard that even attempts to emulate the feel of the real piano keys, this bundle is actually has a lot to go for it.
There are tons of electronic features, so if (like myself) want to learn them and just toy around, this is a good hardware for that. Has USB midi to connect to your computer, has the power supply included, has connector for a pedal everything you might need.
The bundled stand, while basic, is solid and stable.
The headphone is POS, but you probably have something nice and if not, let's face it, you will have to spend some money to get one that is not horrible.
There is a teaching software bundled, which is up to date version (!), but only contains the first third of the whole program, so as usual it is more of an introduction than an actual course. Again, try and if you like it, buy it.
I paid $135 at amazon and for THAT money I think this is a great bundle to dip your toes into the water, try to play around with a keyboard. And if you get hooked, you can later spend some real money on keyboard with better mechanics. (My understanding is that keyboards with serious mechanics are $500 and up, usually more like $900. Also to play classics you will probably need an 88 key keyboard, but that would take up more room, so go for that once you are sure you really want to have and will use a keyboard. This is good for a starter set.)
BTW, if you learned playing on this type of keyboards, than even the mechanics might be good for you, it is OK, not great for me. Yes, it is a bit 'noisy', i.e. it clicks as you play the keys, but again you have to accept that at this price. (Of course, if you are offered this at $250, you might look at the alternatives.)
