I had this mini amp for a while (including an earlier version still in great condition) and I'm happy with them. I bought one and plan to buy more for gifts the price is great. Very convenient. The sound is great. It is built durable. Fits a Strat, Les Paul, ES-335 etc. no problem with model type. The battery (9 volt) lasts a long time. Turn the volume down the sound is clean. Turn the volume up the sound starts to get raunchy you know you get the overdrive/distortion/fuzz bluesy, metal sound with the touch of your guitar volume knob, really convenient. You get clean and overdrive sound without a sound effect box.

What I love of this ampuplugnplay amp you connect this little amp directly to your guitar input plug NO GUITAR CORD NEEDED AT ALL! I can move around the house with no problem or sit on my sofa/couch or chair relax and play with ease.

Believe me folks I've never seen a little amp made this way and sound so good. And I'm in my mid 50s and been playing since the early '70s I've seen them all (amps, gadgets and all).

Another thing you don't need one of those Micro Watt small amps to get an overdriven sound (you know turn your amp way up) this little amp does it easy by turning the guitar volume knob up and IT WON'T BOTHER YOUR NEIGHBORS. The sound is not overly loud to get that sound to bother anyone in the house or outside, great.

This is one purchase I made and I have no regrets about it, and if the makers of this amp come up with another improved model I'm buying one for myself.

This is a very inexpensive way to enable you to practice your electric guitar anywhere. However, you must keep the battery extremely fresh and avoid turning up the volume any more than necessary as it is easy to overload the extremely small speaker. There is no earphone plug, in case you were curious. The biggest flaw is that the switch is exposed and easy to move accidentally, meaning it will turn on in your case and you will need another battery. In fact, I have spent more on batteries than the purchase price of this device.

I bought this amp just so i could be free to play around my house or even outside, instead of being stuck only where my amp is. (let me tell you, it's just not worth it to drag a 40 pound speaker downstairs just to play somewhere different). the mini amp works great. its really light and as simple to use as it could possibly be. the sound is crisp when the volume not at full blast. you get a distortion-like sound when you turn the volume all the way up. when i do want the full sound of my 40lb amp, the portable one fits perfectly in my case. i would definitely recommend this thing, it's fantastic.

I have had this little amp since 2007 and like it a lot.

Sometimes, you just want to get out somewhere different to play some tunes, but do not want or have the ability to lug around an amp. Now, although I do have a great battery powered Crate amp, this little practice amp is just right when you want to play to yourself and not fiddle around with cables and amps.

I have taken this to work for some quick plucking, and I like it. I have also brought it along to a goofing around gig session, and my buddies dug it a lot. Don't expect big sound from this, as it wasn't built for that. It provides decent amplification for intimate surroundings...but does get "dirty" when the volume on the guitar is turned up...which is quite cool. It will start to "Buzz & crackle" when the battery is low, so always carry a spare. Takes little room and looks cool hanging off the guitar and some have inquired how am I playing the guitar without an amp? I used it for lessions at a guitar school, where all around me were acoustics, and I stood out with my little amp.

The on/off switch is easily bumped on sometimes if you are not careful while in the guitar gig bag. What I have done is to disconnect a battery terminal while not in use and problem solved.

I highly recommed this mini practice amp for a backup to your usual arsenal of amps.

I really was very disappointed in this product. It produces so much static noise I find it unusable. Only when the volume is turned nearly off will it produce sound without static... and it fits very loosely into both my guitars' jacks so I think the plug is not quite in proper specifications (size) and may be the cause of the static for me, it was just like throwing money away, and I would not recommend this to anyone. Buy a small amplifier that will at least be usable instead of this thing even if it isn't as convenient to take with you.

It also seems cheaply made very light and fragile, and I think it is a product that was made where there is no quality control.
