I did a quick review of the Shure WH30XLR and was very pleased with its sound. This was recorded on my iMac at work in a sound studio. I used a Shure X2U to go from XLR to USB. Subsequently, I've used this on several video netcasts we do and have been very happy with this mic. Not the best looking mic, but love its sound. Enjoy!

It is comfortable to wear. The behind-the-head style is far better than over-the-top-of-the-head. The sound is what you would expect from a Shure microphone: strong, clean sound. Can't complain about it at all. We use it for our drummer to sing in our band.

It's a pleasure to use this microphone as I am a singer and also keyboard player. The quality is even higher than my previous SM 58.

Great !

I've been playing drums for years. I sing backing vocals and I hate using a regular mic perched on a stand. It always gets in my way and I usually wind up hitting it, or it's out of reach when I'm right in the middle of a song. I've used headset mics in the past and was never thrilled with how they sounded or how they would pick up other surrounding sounds. I just bought the Shure WH30XLR Cardioid condenser headset mic and after using for the first time playing out, I'm hooked! It is a very well made, light weight mic and it sounds crystal clear. I had no problems with it picking up my drums or cymbals. I had it aimed right at the corner of my mouth and it picked up my speaking and vocals with no problem. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this headset mic!!! I'd highly recommend this to any drummer who sings and hates using a regular mic on a stand. Thanks to the headset, I was able to move freely and headbang as hard as I wanted to with no problems. Even my sound man was impressed with it! Shure, you done good!!

I've played a couple gigs with this so far and absolutely love it! It sure beats leaning over to talk into a normal mic! I've read other comments about the headset being to tight or the mic not reaching around to the front of your mouth and all I have to say about that is be patient. Work with your sound tech to get the mic into the right position....it will stay put once you find the sweet spot. Also, use the band on the headset to adjust it and/or bend the frame. I have a relatively small head, but the adjustments I've made keep this headset in place.

I love this product and am 100% satisfied with my purchase!
