I used this adapter to look up my "old school" stereo receiver with tall floor standing speakers to get really nice sound with my 60" Samsung LED TV which only has the one small 3.5mm audio output instead of the 2 RCA females which my other Toshiba LED tv has. needed some wires for an audio project and this one does fine, uncommon parts can be hard to shop for so its good to order
