I bought this for my car. Works perfect. The size is great,, quality is great. It's solid all around. One thing I was surprised about was the power input was reversed,, meaning I had to rewire the line in my car to plug it in. The 12v is on the outside and the ground is is the center,, so you will have to stick with the power supply they provide.

I wanted a small mixer that allowed me to deal with multiple input sources (compute and docked cell phone) and this one really fits the bill. Small form factor and easy to connect. No noise on the pots when adjusting volume. I'd recommend it to anyone

I've been using this on my bicycle to provide multiple inputs to a class-t amp. It doesn't seem like it draws much power (good) and is so far durable. My only complaints are that it weighs a bit and there's no easy way to attach this mixer to other things. But the sound quality is good and it adds more volume to my source (phone).

It took a looooooooong time for me to find and settle on this mixer but it is exactly what I wanted for our home gym. It lets me mix and adjust the volume on the tv, mp3 player, and tablet (and possibly a laptop) while at the same time picking whether I want the output to go to the speaker system I have set up or headphones.

Overall the build quality is great. The knobs haven't seen too much use but they feel solid. For the price, I do recommend this little mixer. It gets the job done. I have no clue if it is "pro" quality but it passes my untrained ears test with no problems.

I have to clarify though that my speakers are amplified but this definitely has more than enough power to drive my headphones adequately without having to crank up the volume knobs.

This should work perfectly if what you need is a converter from "Mini-Optical" to "TOSLINK Optical."

The description is misleading, saying it's for a 3.5mm stereo audio cord.

Really not sure why people who don't understand descriptions rate something 1star because they ordered the wrong thing! This adaptor works perfectly to convert the end of your mini optical cable to regular size optical. It would only be appropriate for you if you already have a cable that has one end terminating in a mini toslink male. I had a cable that I had previously bought to use with my Apple Airport express (which takes a mini toslink end) but no longer needed it for that purpose. For less than $2, I can now use the optical cable to work with my Apple TV and don't have to run new cable...

Want 3.5mm Mini Optical Female / Digital Optical Toslink Male Adapter Discount?

I bought this for use with my portable DAC which has a Toslink out. Unfortunately this adapter did not fit properly. I bought two: One would just go into the DAC but wouldn't click or stay in at all; the second one barely clicked but would pop out very easily. Oddly, I tried this on my Yamaha receiver and found that once plugged in, I needed a pair of pliers to remove itno joke. So not only is the fit very sketchy on different devices, but it is also inconsistent from one adapter to another. And yes, I've used Toslink cables on both devices with no problems at all. Luckily this wasn't too expensive, but I'm still a bit bummed this won't work.

I was a little worried about stringing two of these together to give musicians recording in other rooms across the house a feed for their headphone monitors. These cables, however, worked flawlessly. No noise or attenuation that I could hear. VERY HAPPY with this purchase (I bought 6 of them).

What can I say? They work and they're super cheap! Much better than going to a store like radioshack and paying double or triple for the same thing.

I can tell you I will not ever be using this extension cable and will definitely be spending the money on, what hopefully will be, a better quality one in the future. I had luck with the 15ft extension but that ended up being too short for my needs. This 25 ft. was bad from the first try. I spent the whole time fiddling with my headphone jack trying to find the "sweet spot" so I could get the full audio only to have it vanish as soon as I took my fingers off it. I tested the shorter cable and then just the headphones and they were both fine.

I'm not an audiophile so I wasn't concerned with super high quality or anything, just being able to listen to the TV without disturbing my wife. But this couldn't even provide an acceptable level of quality.

I'm sure there are decent cables like this out there, and for the price I would even say it was worth the gamble to hopefully get one of them. Only this gamble didn't pay off.

My only warning would be to not get your hopes up.

The good:

Price is cheap.

Length is long.

Good for listening to audio presentation or audio books where sound quality does not matter a lot.

The bad:

Shipping is a bit expensive for a small item.

Volume quality is reduced but can be easily compensated.

The ugly:

Sound quality is greatly reduced. The sound of high frequency instruments are almost lost.

I bought this for my MP3 player. That's the reason for the two-star rating.

But I must say, for my decent home stereo system these extensions worked perfect! And fast shipping too!

I ordered this unit with a lapel mic to use with my video camera. When it arrived, it came with the handheld mic, not suitable for my application. So I contacted the seller to correct the problem and they informed me that they didn't carry the lapel version. They quickly gave me and RMA so there was no problem getting my money back, but I was dissapointed that I didn't get what I had ordered. It looks like they have fixed the listing on Amazon, so as long as you want the hand-held version, go for it. To be fair, I never even plugged the mic in so I don't know how it sounded or what range it had but I will say again that the customer service was good.

I'm giving it 5 stars so I don't unfairly lower its rating. But I had to return my HM-20U 3.5MM because it uses a low-voltage phantom power (not 48v or 24v). And it won't work with their hard-to-find XM-10 adaptor (that's only for the mini-xlr, not the 3.5mm connector).

So, DON'T BUY THIS UNLESS YOU HAVE A LOW-VOLTAGE PHANTOM POWER SOURCE.

I think low-voltage is between 1.5v to 10v.

We ordered five of these microphones to use with our Sennheiser G2 belt pack lapel mic transmitters. It plugs directly into the Sennheiser with no difference in audio level from the factory lapel mic. These Nady headset mics are fantastic. They're super clear and quiet, and they stay put no matter what. We (unfortunately) bought one of those really thin $300 over-one-ear mics that you can bend and shape to fit. But it won't stay in place like this Nady does, and it's output is weaker (the G2's audio input gain had to be increased to use the overpriced, overblown mic). We ordered our Nady HM-20U's from Musician's Friend, but it's cheaper to order them through Amazon.com (they still come from Musician's Friend). This Nady has a three conductor (stereo or tip/ring/sleeve) 1/8" plug that is wired the same as the Sennheiser's factory lapel mic (plug tip is + voltage to the condenser element and audio out, plug sleeve is ground, the center ring terminal is not used). Can't beat the quality and stable design of the Nady, especially at this price.

Got this about a week ago. I have two bass guitars and a practice amp. 15 watter. I went to Guitar Center to look for something a bit more powerful and this amp was my final choice. A few 30 amps sounded decent, but this one thumps. I didn't need the power of the 150 or 350 since I have neighbors. The 75 is loud enough to gig in small venues and bring out neighbors when playing in the garage. There are lots of features so it is pretty easy to hone in on the tone you are looking for. I was able to get sounds that I have heard before but have never been able to get with other amps I have used. The overdrive is great too when you want that gritty sound. It is a decent size and not too heavy. You can also lay it back like a monitor so you can hear yourself over the drums. I am glad I got it.

Buy Fender Rumble 75 Bass Amplifier Now

I have been playing bass for 28 years and decided I needed a small practice amp. I did not want a cheesy, no name amp...something smaller then my Peavey 300w combo stack (15" with 2x10" cab). I love my 300w stack...but, overkill in most situations except when I am on stage. Anyway, I had too much amp for the house and wanted something small, yet powerful. This Fender 75 has lots of guts and plays a lot louder then I expected. The bottem end is clean, but the mid range will knock your socks off...zero distortion or hiss. I actually have to turn the bass tone control down. The unit looks sexy, has a big "Fender" emblem, and performs exactly as designed. I have owned several practice amps...5w, 20w, and a 40w. They all played okay...but never enough volume. This Fender will surprise you with its volume and rattle-free performance. Lastly, the price is a steal. At $249 with a 5-yr Fender warranty...you can't go wrong. Only negative...it is a bit cumbersome and weights 50 lbs or so. Worth it though! Buy this amp.

I am a beginner bass player and almost bought a kit guitar with one of those 15 watt amps. Glad I didn't! The Fender Rumble 75 really kicks out the sound and delivers room shaking bass! The amp is build rock solid, and I really appreciate the separate phono inputs where I can plug in my iPod or iPad. This let's me play along with the actual music. I play this amp in a very large room with tall ceilings and the Rumble 75 fills the space with plenty of power to spare. The dedicated foot switch input is a plus, and there are other nice features. You can't go wrong with this amp. I think it will serve me well for the years to come, and the price was right, too!

This is an excellent product, plain and simple. It is NOT a replacement for a good set of nearfield monitors, and as far as I'm concerned, no sane person (with a modest budget) would mix anything solely with the VRM. BUT, used alongside your trusted monitors, it gives excellent references and enables one to make a better guess at how mixes will fare in other environments and on other speakers.

I am running Cubase 6.5 on a PC laptop, with the Yamaha-Steinberg UR28M as my audio interface (fantastic value as well, BTW), my nearfields are powered KRK Rokit 6, and I'm feeding the VRM a S/PDIF signal using a high-quality S/PDIF cable. I had the unit up and running in about 2 minutes, and the S/PDIF locked in immediately. I have been using it for 2 days now, comparing old mixes I've done, music I'm presently working on, and listening to music I know very well. With the VRM I am listening on my trusty old AKG K270 headphones. There are better headphones out there, but I know and love the K270s.

The size is great. You can throw it in a pocket of your laptop bag and it gives a nice, ample signal. Great little headphone amp in and of itself.

My conclusion is that this is a no-brainer for the small project studio owner who is looking to get a better sense of how one's music will translate to the real world.

At about a hundred bucks, this thing is a huge value. I got mine used for $69 (free shipping), and I could not be happier unless it came with a roll of hundreds and the keys to Kaley Cuoco's apartment. Sorry, Kaley.

OK, if you're a hobbyist/geek who does entire projects without any nearfield monitors, then yes, I WOULD recommend this over a mere stereo feed from your laptop to your headphones. Better imaging and tonal balance, hands down. But this is not the purpose of the VRM. It is a reference tool, and an excellent one at that.

Buy it.

Some time ago I decided to save some bucks and bought the Focusrite Saffire Pro 24 instead of the Focusrite Saffire Pro 24 DSP, that already had the VRM system built in. Now I decided to get the VRM Box to go along with my Focusrite Interface. This is a great product for those who mix and sometimes depend on headphones. Also it is a great reference tool. I have both KRK monitors that the VRM Box emulates and it is very accurate. Of course it is not a substitute for them, but does take you a long way.

Read Best Reviews of Focusrite VRM Box USB Interface with Headphone Output Featuring Virtual Reference Monitoring Techno Here

So, having owned or used some of the monitors that the VRM box "simulates," I can say it actually "parodies" their sound more than anything. I downloaded the latest software before using.

When I first used it I plugged in my AKG K701s, which I use to check EQ on most of my mixes. When I first enabled VRM on the default settings, my gut reaction was "ICK!" I what sounded like comb filtering on anything that was panned dead center, i.e. any vocal centric music. I went through some of the models, and it wasn't getting any better.

Now, I had read before purchasing that they were tested primarily on Sennheiser HD 280 Pros, which I also own. These are closed headphones, unlike the AKG cans, and usually sound so boxy to me that I ONLY use them because they are tolerable and don't leak during tracking. I started them out without VRM, and they sounded like their usual boxy selves, and then I engaged VRM. I closed my eyes, suspended my disbelief, and there it was. I felt like I was listening to some Genelecs, albeit in a large, relatively live studio. I listened for 10 more minutes, letting my brain adjust to the sound of the VRM box through the phones. Then I disengaged VRM. WHOA! I was again reminded of how terrible the HD 280s sound, except more so! I engaged VRM again, and suddenly they sounded much more full and accurate.

I then went back to my AKGs, and they still sounded better and more accurate without VRM engaged, so I'll be using the HD 280s with this. For mixing. I'll listen to everything else on the 701s.

As far as the D/A conversion goes through the USB port, it's not distracting. It's not FABULOUS, but doesn't get in the way. I haven't bothered using the S/PDIF.

Overall, I recommend it as a useful tool to supplement your mixes, not a substitute for actual monitors. I leave a star off for the rooms sounding too wet, and for the way it undesirably messes with the clarity of center panned tracks. I'm sorry, but real speakers just don't make vocals sound like the speakers are pointed at each other.

Want Focusrite VRM Box USB Interface with Headphone Output Featuring Virtual Reference Monitoring Techno Discount?

This really works! It's not a substitute for near field monitors but it is an asset. Once you've established your basic mix, you have 3 environments and 10 very accurate reference monitors modeled to check your mix against. The NS 10 and the Auratone C5 settings are my favorite. I've used the real thing and they both are very much like the real thing. Great for detail balance and imaging. I've spent more and gotten much less! For $100.00 you cannot loose!

this device first appeared as a built-in feature in the more expensive focusrite pro 24 DSP model, now focusrite decided to give us a chance to experience the same audio technology feature in a small, ultraportable stand-alone unit. what can i say? focusrite has simply done it again! the vrm box will save you thousands of dollars in your home or pro music studio setup. if you're into music production, you already know what i mean by that. this may not be the ultimate reference monitor box to get that perfect mix but it will certainly give you an idea of what you're (not) doing in the final mixdown with all the various virtual speaker monitors included in the software. the VRM box is a great help for musicians, audio engineers and music producers. at $99, the VRM box is probably the best investment for your music production setup.

This unit comes with almost everything a broadcast tech could need. I, along with just about every audio tech currently on the road with sports TV broadcast trucks in the country, use this product on a daily basis to track down problems. It lets one check voltage for PLs, IFBs and phantom, has a speaker for audio signals and a loop to check cable continuity. It has loads of options for monitoring both powered and passive signals. There's only one other unit that I prefer over this, the amazing Behringer CT100 that sells for a fraction of the price of this, but it has no speaker. The only drawbacks to this unit are the size and the price. Its big to wear on a belt pack along with other tools so I have it in a bag on my belt because the clip tends to slip the unit off without an enclosure. Its quite pricey. I don't know why they charge so much but really this is almost the only way to go on a unit with this many options. PS It works in the rain!!

My company installs specialized audio equipment at conferences. We have 4 of these, they are incredibly useful! We mainly use them when we are arguing with other AV suppliers who tell us they are sending us a good signal, so if it isn't sounding good it must be our gear. With a Qbox we can usually prove that the problem is at their end! Without a Qbox we can be arguing about it for hours.

These can also be used as an emergency preamp, signal generator, line monitor, and to add a way to speak to people further down the audio line.

Mostly use for calls, sometimes for music.

Works well for calls in the car, in the office and outdoors.

Excellent ambient sound isolation.

Excellent incoming sound. Excellent outgoing sound, when microphone is raised towards the mouth.

Only problem I face is that the microphone hangs low, I have to raise it towards the mouth when speaking. I end up tying the cord to the top button of my shirt to keep the microphone close when speaking; then it works very well. Inclusion of a small clip in the package would have helped a lot. However with the microphone raised, the cord length from microphone to phone connector becomes short.

The shortcoming due to microphone placement and cord length prevents me from giving five stars.

They look great and that's about it. I turned the volume control to high and could barely hear anything, and yes it was plugged in all the way. They have a wheel for volume that is very hard to use. I answered a call and could hear a whisper, good thing I had my phone on vibrate.

Buy Audio-Technica ATH-CKM500ISWH In-Ear Headphones for Smartphone - White Now

I have had this for about a week now and I am beginning to like it.

I use it predominantly as a spare mostly in the car to work and back. I find the sound isolation is fairly good and while in the car I feel very comfortable and uninterrupted.

I listen to this on my Ipod Touch and I do have to use it together with my BBE Sonic pro app as the tone does require a little tweaking. I find that (un-EQ) the bass tends to be a bit in the forefront and vocals tend to drown.

But when I am able to fiddle the EQ to the right level the final sound comes out fairly good. What normally gives me problems is with the sound stage and the depth and I do need to spent time adjusting this (especially if I change music genre). It does work very well with guitar sounds and acoustics.

The other thing I find convenient is the inline mic. I used my Ipod to Skype all the time and its proving to be very convenient. I am told by my phone contacts that my talking tone and clarity on the other end is very pleasing.

Overall I do believe this to be a good buy and value for the price. (paid $70 for it)

Really enjoy using my StudioConnect. I like how small and easy it is to use with my iPad. Being that I use my iPad for more than just recording music, I love that I can just simply unplug it from the StudioConnect and do other things. The other options on the market require me to take my iPad out of its case, dock it and it's kind of inconvenient to use it that way. The audio input quality is great on StudioConnect. I definitely recommend this for anyone that enjoys recording and playing music and wants to integrate with the power of the iPad.

When I first tried the unit, it would only charge my iPad intermittently. I emailed Griffin's customer service who promptly replied that I needed the firmware upgrade. Once I did, the unit works fine and keeps a constant charge to the iPad. The unit works as advertised. The design is near perfect. That being said, I do feel the unit is overpriced. The parts inside are not expensive. The case is of plastic....nothing wrong with that as it feels durable, just pointing out that it's not made of some expensive material. They chose not to add an XLR input and a level control on the outputs would have been nice. It was assembled in China so labor cost had to be low. To be clear, it was assembled very well. I just feel for what it does and for the features they didn't add the price is a little high. As music apps for the iPad begin to get more robust, hardware like this will become more competitive price wise. Thankfully.

There weren't many reviews for this so I took a risk and bought one. While not super "portable," although it is, this Griffin dock was even better than I expected. You're not going to be able to make music on the subway with it, but that would be crazy. Just plug in some headphones. It's plastic but feels sturdy and well built, and all the audio connectors are top notch. I was mainly looking for a way to get decent quality stereo out from my ipad, with midi in. And no dongle that would break, or app / interface issues like the alesis IO dock. I have a big sturdy case on my ipad as well, and this accommodates that with no issues. It also charges the ipad quickly.

Sound quality: AMAZING! I haven't used it for recording yet, as I mainly make synthesized music, but plugged into a nice pair of monitors the sound quality is crystal clear and lag free. This + the animoog app is incredible, you can hear bass and clean treble impossible to sample through headphones or the 1/8th inch miniplug.

I bought RCA -> 1/4 inch line out cables and plugged directly from the griffin into my computer. Then I plugged midi out from my soundcard into the ipad, and my keyboard worked with EVERY app that supports core midi. Instantly. No setup or tweaking required, although you do have to create your own mappings within the apps for each knob.

This thing is great for a large or small studio setup, I'd recommend it to anyone.

Great for a studio environment, not so much for mobile work. Basic connectivity requirements are all met and integrating to almost any system is straightforward and fairly elegant.

I originally won a StudioConnect in a contest over a year ago. I was impressed with the improved audio quality on my guitar when compared to the iRig. Sadly, more often than not, the device did not work (not recognized by ipad 3). After one call to Griffin's customer support, I had a return label to send it back. The representative also gave me his direct extension and asked me to call back after I dropped the package of with UPS. When I did so, he confirmed with UPS and sent the replacement immediately. I was very happy with the level of service. The replacement device has worked without a problem and I purchased a 2nd unit for a friend.

Pros: Clean audio from Hi-Z inputs (bass/guitar)

MIDI in/out

Easy to reach knobs for gain and headphone out

Price. There isn't much in this price range that will provide you with a 1/4" Hi-z input as well as midi in/out.

Charges iPad while in use.

Cons: No mic input (Though it works well with any mic pres)

Only RCA outputs—This is close to a deal breaker for me as I use this for guitar and keyboards live on stage. The device would really benefit from a set of XLR or balanced TRS stereo outs (or better yet, a pair of Neutrik combo jacks). Few stages or audio snakes have RCA sends in my experience. I have to use adaptors (which may degrade the signal).

Build Quality. The knobs all feel very cheap, however, I should note that nothing has broken in the 15 months or so that I've used the device.

My typical set-up: Guitar plugs into the 1/4" jack (with a few stomp boxes on the way).

Midi out of keyboard controler to midi in(thru) midi foot controller

Midi out of foot controller to midi in on StudioConnect.

This set up allows me control over iOS soft synths (animoog, garage band, pocket organ, etc) as well as midi program changes on Positive Grid's JamUp guitar software.

I don't have use for the midi output on the StudioConnect at this time, but it's there for when I need it.

This violin looks way better than the picture. this violin is awesome but there are somethings that you have to do....

1) i didnt like the bow that came with it at all...so m recommendation is to get a better bow

2) my shoulder rest is small for this violin it scratched my violin :( (my shoulder rest is 4/4) so get a viola shoulder rest...

3) the bridge is kinda big so i used the bridge of my acustic violin

but over all this is a pretty good violin for the money that you have to spend on it

but if you are a professional violinist i'll recommend you to get a better one (expensive one)

anyways so far i love it...btw i use my computer sound system (speakers) instead of the headphones but i'm planning to get an amp anyways this is a pretty awesome instrument..

My daughter loved it for Christmas. Great violin for the money. Still having problems with strings staying in tune. Still great for the price.

I was very excited to play even though I received it a few days late.. Looks very nice but doesn't stay tuned for longer than 30, 45 min. Head phones are garbage!!!

One of the strings had become bent during transit and the bridge had come loose but it's easily fixable and sounds great! The strings sit a bit higher than I'm used to, maybe because the bridge sits in a holder rather than right on the violin but I can probably have someone sand it down a bit if I need to. This is my first electric violin and I am well pleased with it!

Before you shell out $300 for some cheap plastic phones with somebody's name on them, try the UrbanEars Zinkens. I love the colors and the product is well made, but most important--they sound good. For less than $100 you won't find anything better on the market.

I wanted over-ear type phones rather than in ear, and, in making that choice, was prepared for something heftier than the alternatives. These are fairly light, with the result that I can listen much longer than I expected. That's the type of surprise I like!

This headphone is good. In my opinion it lacked on the dubstep side, because it requires a lot of bass. So, because of that it sounded muddy. On the other hand it was great for hip-hop, rap, electro, and dance. Overall is good in some areas and bad on others. The shipping was fast and dependable. I wound recommend this to people that like electronic dance, but not to those that like dubstep.

The best feature was how it has two ports so u can listen with a friend . The sound overall is really good, everything is balanced and although it doesn't advertise noise canceling it keeps out most of it .
