Great for small parties with friends etc. I have some pro gear really more for twisting knobs and hitting buttons and generally looking more like a DJ with the ability to create some of my own music. It,s great but really heavy and bulky. That being said for a hundred bucks the Instinct comes out of the box ready to kick! Awesome! Simply plug in make up your setlist and watch everyone bounce! The sync feature is flawless and if you have an idea of what spins naturally sound great together in your setlist you're in for a great night. Also the Instinct, your laptop and some good quality portable speakers can all fit into a backpack and your off to the plane, party, beach wherever. I definatley recommend it for anyone who wants to impress at basement parties etc.

This device mixes like a full size mixer and is smaller than a 15 inch laptop in total diagonal. The best features are the knobs which are raised and incrementally increase in height from bass knob to treble knob allowing for easy switching between the EQ adjusters. Switching between loops samples effects and cues is smart but not if you want to do both at the same time. Overall satisfaction. HERCULES DELIVERS!

I had some trouble making my computer (with windows 7) recognize this DJ controller I had some drivers issues even when dowloading the last ones.

But I after I got it working and playing with it for a couple of days now, I must admit it's an excellent controller. It has basic features like loops, effects, samples and cues and pitch and volume controls. I think it's an excellent tool to get introduce yourself to this DJ'ing world before upgrading to a more serious one.

For me one of the basic features is the headphone pres listening, that is basic if you want to improvise.

Maybe a reason why my experience with this controller is so positive is because I don't use the default software but I use Virtual DJ instead. There are plenty videos on youtube that explains how to map this DJ controller with Virtual DJ

This is just awesome. Loving the controls. And yes I can do away with all the sound cards. 2 inbuilt cards one for the headphone the other for the output. Just too good. 5 stars

This was my first controller. Loved it. Not expensive so if you find out that you're a terrible DJ its no money lost.
