Wow, I bought this for my 9 year old son and was so disapointed! It is such a piece of junk that it would not even make a good toy. All the pads have serious delay and only register a hit at random times. Don't waste your money!

My nephew started to get into drumming and I thought this was the perfect answer for him (and for his parents to get a break from the noise since headphones can be used). It has lots of presets with different sounds (I thought the steel drum sounded cool). Probably not superior enough quality for an adult, but perfect for an 8+ kid. Also, couldn't beat the price!!

UPDATE: Within a day or two, the product stopped working completely (tried battery replacement, checking connections etc) It's obviously not made well enough for long-term use. Returned for a full refund.

The drum set does everything it's supposed to do, and I haven't had any problems with it. It's a lot of fun. This makes a great gift for a kid.
