This interface has worked great for me. I know there were some reviews out there that said they had problems with latency, etc., but I have had no problems. I use the output in a variety of ways from headphones (if my wife is sleeping or doesn't want to hear me any more) to a small external speaker, to my full home theater receiver, to my Mustang 2 amp. it all seems to work find...just need a 1/4 to 1/8" adapter.

I have used this most for practicing the various lessons on Garage Band. It is very good for that kind of thing because the computer program puts your guitar through a sort of electronic amp within the program so that when your play comes out, it can sound pretty amazing. although this interface was not really cheap, it was well worth what I paid for it. I use it every day for practice and I would buy it again.

After reading mostly good reviews for this, I ordered it and hoped for the best. I've heard problems with latency or not working altogether. When I got it, I plugged it in, without installing software, into my Windows 7 laptop. It found it immediately. I opened Audacity to try it. No latency issues, easy setup, and good sound.

Pros: I use this with TH2 Overloud on Windows 7 desktop, runs perfect =). Sounds are great, latency free because of asio drivers. Great for someone who can't afford a ridiculous amp. I can confirm it works with TH2 overloud, amplitube, and guitar rig.

Cons: I could never get it to record the guitar input AFTER it had been modified by the amp simulators. At least, not with TH2 paired with any recording software (audacity, reaper, goldwave, haven't tried reason or cubase), at least. I did get it to work with guitar rig, but I like the sounds and options for TH2 better than guitar rig so =/. I really could not get it to record, it was a big hassle.

Even though it seems like I wrote more about the cons, still a really great purchase, especially for a staring guitarist.

5 stars from me. Came on time and everything.

Also, if you are wondenirg like I was, this works with Behringer drivers even though I think this is the "generic" version.

I run this with Garage Band on my Mac. It's a little noisy, but works fine. I didn't have to use the driver disk it came with. This is the cheap knock off of the name brand, but why not save a few bucks. If you're using a different rig or software, I can't comment on how this would work for you. I am not a professional, and only use it to do simple sketches for song ideas, so that will tell you how easily I am impressed by it's quality.

I had been using a friends m-audio input and needed something cheep to put down sketch ideas. Got the device followed the directions. The install EXE said that it installed. I rebooted like the directions state. Then ran Audacity. Device was not found. I went back and started the guitar rig install, it crashed I/O file corruption error. I then tried it three more times to the same effect. It has no links to external drivers or anything so your stuck with whats in the package; and its not worth the fuss!
