I don't know why this has such a weak rating. I am a musician thats on the road once in awhile. I use this to warm up real quick before going out, or if I'm writing music and want to hear something other than the strings ringing when I'm by the computer. This has really helped me with alot of stuff. It's not a amp to buy if you wanna use it like you're primary amp. It's just a little toy to warm up on or carry around with you when you need it. Like if you where to go on vacation and wanna play real quick it's there. The sound isn't too bad for a 1 watt amp. I personally love this little amp. I was really excited for this product and was hoping to be wowed by its tiny performance. Unfortunately, that was not the case as the unit I received was obviously defective. Out of the box it comes with a plastic wrap 9v in the battery compartment, so I unwrapped it plugged in the input, and there was no sound. Bummer, but no biggy. Maybe the battery was crap, so I went and got a different battery. Nope still no sound. So hoping that it was just the battery connection I found a 9v dc cord (doesn't come with one) and plugged it in. POP! Smoke starts pouring out of the thing! Don't know what blew, but I knew the thing was shot 5 seconds after opening it.

I got this mic to go along with my iPad and it sounds great! I use the pro version of FiRe to record the sounds with. I had originally planned to use my Blue Microphone Yeti with my iPad but to do you need an external powered USB source (like a hub). Well, that killed that portability idea. So after I read online reviews of this Samson Meteor mic, I gave it a try and am glad I did. My Yeti sits at home while my Meteor goes with me everywhere. The price of the Samson Meteor USB mic, a fairly recent entry, has come down to the point of being fairly valued (initially, I was seeing it going for prices above the better-sounding Blue Yeti mic). It's an attractive (some would say "cute") little mic with its quaint "retro" design and deceptively fold-up, portable size. I have been using this mic along with the Meteor multi-track recorder app (I don't believe they are connected in any way). It works great. I am sure that it would work with any of the other multi-tracking apps, like Garage Band or Multitrack DAW. I can use the camera connection kit and connect directly to the iPad. It also has a stereo mini jack for real time monitoring which is great. It is a well built, well designed mic and I carry it with me to use when I am on the road.

I bought these spearker stands because I sometimes use two small QSC k8's for gigs. the speakers are small so i was confident taht these stands would be sufficient. they hook onto my sub poles easily and lock on quite tight. the speakers sit well on it and I am sure they could handle speaker of greater size and weight than my small k8's. I like to make sure that it locks tight so that the stand doesn't spin around. I run a small in home studio that I use for personal music production. I bought a pair of these monitors about a month ago along with the MediaOne 4a monitors that I run in conjunction with these speakers. The mid and high clarity is awesome. I am able to hear things in my music that I was not previously able to. it has made mixing and mastering a less frustrating process. I play and record mostly death metal and low ends are a must for this type of music. These monitors (as wells as the 4a)lack in that department. I ended buying a small sub (10 Inch Sony for $100) from BestBuy to compensate with great results. I'm writing this review with these cranked up to their max because I was sitting here at my computer thinking "Wow I am so impressed with these for the $100 I paid for them." I did not know that a 3" woofer could pump out so much sound. I have them connected to the outputs from an external audio interface, which allows me to boost the sound level and quality, but these were exactly what I wanted for my computer desk. I have a pair of more expensive studio monitors in the other room with 8" woofers (Event 20/20 Bas) which are amazing speakers, but I'm blown away with how closely these little Samson 3 inch'ers compare. Of course, they don't have the same amount of low end, but geez, I'm certainly not complaining for their size. In fact, I'm really happy with how much bass they DO have. I keep looking at them thinking that they shouldn't be able to reproduce sounds that low with 3" woofers! I can even feel it in my chest and that just baffles me. I may pair them with a subwoofer to handle the really low tones below 80Hz later, which these can't reproduce, but everything else they do great with. The mids are punchy and the highs are crystal clear. If you've never experienced a set of high quality studio monitors, these are an excellent starting point and will blow you away. Hell, I've heard monitors in a professional studio that cost over $1,000 a piece and these still impress me with how much clarity they bring out of my music even in my non-acoustically-treated office space.

For the price you can't beat the quality. It sounds great. You can get crunch, sustain and use it to record with into a mixer or multitrack recorder. The headphones works pretty good. (I have nice headphones, maybe cheesey ones would sound bad) Great practice amp and, very loud for one watt! You can also hook it up to an external cabinet with an ohm rating between 4 to 16. Just for the way it looks alone it should get high ratings. I saw a demo of it that wound up on my email and, I decided to get rid of my noisey Epiphone Valve Junior and, get the HT-1. I'm totally glad I did. All my guitars I have played through it sound pretty good as well. I view the ISF almost like a tone control. It works alright enough for what this amp is. I wish this would have been my first amp when I was a teen learning to play. It is a fun practice amp. I bet the HT-1R is even more cool with the reverb. I'm glad I got it.At first I hated this amp. It was so noisy I thought it was broken. Turns out I'm just an idiot & had the gain too high on the OD channel. I also didn't love the ISF gimmickit's supposed to sound like a fender when turned down & Marshall on the other end, but basically acts like a guitar tone pot to my ears. There are decent even great tones , but no one will mistake either extreme for the real things. I also thought it was pretty limited since clean at max volume is really weak. I also regretted not getting reverb ( the HT1R). I was all set to sell it for a $100 loss & move on. My friend who was interested went on vacay for a month. During that time 2 things happened. I realized that my Mustang direct out does not record the backing tracks inserted from my iPhoneonly my guitar signal & thats a dealbreaker for mecon that smo. The Blackstar records both very well and it's direct out sounds as good as me mic'ing w/ a sm58. I also realized I have pedals! With a compressor, analog delay & OD I get every tone Ive ever wanted on this amp & just continue to be blown away every day by how great it sounds. Run it through a PA and its very giggable. Overall I would say this is good for anyone unless you play clean only with no boost because the clean channel has the exact amount of volume you'd expect from 1 watt, which is not quite enough to even practice in a quite room.

The plastic clamshell split open at the seam in package. looked good and the left sounded good. I was leaving the country and did not even try to return. They were packaged well and delivered quickly but it looked like manufacturers defect.
