I don't know why this has such a weak rating. I am a musician thats on the road once in awhile. I use this to warm up real quick before going out, or if I'm writing music and want to hear something other than the strings ringing when I'm by the computer. This has really helped me with alot of stuff. It's not a amp to buy if you wanna use it like you're primary amp. It's just a little toy to warm up on or carry around with you when you need it. Like if you where to go on vacation and wanna play real quick it's there. The sound isn't too bad for a 1 watt amp. I personally love this little amp. It's well worth $40.00 bucks in my opinion.

Ok. This is not an amplifier to play Madison Square Garden with. It is perfect to warm up with, or to use (as I do) in audition situations in studio rooms for film and musical theater.

I find it surprisingly loud for its small size, and have had no problem with the battery staying put. However, it does (the battery) run out a bit quickly.

Again, this is a great convenience to pop in a duffle bag and use to warm up with, audition with (for theater/film)and practice on, if you live in say, an apartment and can't blow down the house with noise. I still have to tone the volume down in my place in NYC.

If you really expect more than that for forty bucks, well....You get what I mean.

My son loves having this micro amp. It is so easy to carry with him when bringing his guitar to school or to a friend's house and he doesn't need the full size amp. The amp performs great in these situations and is perfect for his needs.

I was really excited for this product and was hoping to be wowed by its tiny performance. Unfortunately, that was not the case as the unit I received was obviously defective. Out of the box it comes with a plastic wrap 9v in the battery compartment, so I unwrapped it plugged in the input, and there was no sound. Bummer, but no biggy. Maybe the battery was crap, so I went and got a different battery. Nope still no sound. So hoping that it was just the battery connection I found a 9v dc cord (doesn't come with one) and plugged it in. POP! Smoke starts pouring out of the thing! Don't know what blew, but I knew the thing was shot 5 seconds after opening it.

(Updated Review) Getting a replacement from Amazon was amazingly easy (seriously, if you have never experienced it, its great!) and I am very happy I opted for the replacement instead of the money back, because this little gem is great! straight out of the box, with the included battery, it performed admirably. Not only does it do a solid job, but it just looks totally cool. Great for musicians on-the-go, or as just a fantastic way to playback music.

I bought this amp to keep in my room for practicing. It sounded good for a week. After that I started to get a fuzzing sound whenever I played. When I played the high e string on my guitar it would sound like a low e. the battery does not even fit in the back. I came up with the idea to fold a piece of paper and put on top of the battery before I closed the lid to keep it from moving. It worked but I still had to adjust it every time I turned it on. I highly do not recommend this amp.
