After 60 days of use, the retractor failed. Good sound, microphone fine, but the retractor is now in retraction mode all the time. As such, the device is useless. Although the price is low, the longevity is too. Not recommended.

Got these headphones for my teenager's birthday because she was having trouble with tangled cords. I specifically looked for ones for her iPod with the audio controls and mic so she could take advantage of additional apps. She started using them about 2 weeks after they arrived. After the first week of use, the audio started going out one one ear. If the wire at the top of the jack was held right, the audio popped back in. After another few days, the audio stopped working in the other side also and has completely gone out in the first side. She has been careful with these headphones as we always talk about proper care of her electronics. She has had to revert back to one of the cheaper sets of earbuds that tangles easier. We are very disappointed with these earbuds and don't recommend them for purchase.

I liked the idea of retractable earbuds but this is too heavy and pulls down your ears making it quite uncomfortable. Also, the sound quality is disappointing, sound is muffled, no clarity, I am buying something else...

I purchased these after some research and thought they'd be perfect. The cord is of a durable quality, the push to talk microphone is a nice touch and the sweat proof material is great. However, the sound quality is mediocre and provides a minuscule difference if any compared to my prior $10 set. The deal breaker however is that the "wire ear hooks" are more of a nuisance than helpful. They add extra weight and can sometimes pull the ear-buds out of your ears if you turn your head at the wrong angle. The ear hooks also make wearing sunglasses difficult or uncomfortable. So to combat this, I've tried running & cycling after straightening the wire hooks. But they just add too much weight that inevitably pulls out / loosens the ear buds.

These could be a great set of head phones for working out if the ear wires were changed.

I love these head phones so much! When ever I run or workout, I always end up having problems with my headphones. They either fall out, get loose or end up breaking from all of my sweat. These are perfect because you can wash them after you run or work out. I have to give em credit for the ear fitting they did on these as well! You can mold these to however your ear is shaped and plus the extra ear-set pieces are another saver that you usually dont get with head phones. Very happy to have these headphones in my bag of Audio gear. I would recommend these to anyone, especially anyone serious about training and equipment.

Plenty of ear inserts to fit every ear.

Only complaint is that there is no volume control to adjust.

Would recommend to anyone that doesnt care about that.

I probably use headphones the majority of my day I spend most hours at work with headphones in listening either to music or podcasts. But while I have some perfectly fine OTE headphones for work, obviously those aren't going to fly on my runs.

I got these as a gift from a friend of mine, and I have to say that they've been great. The sound quality is very, very good, but I have to say that where they definitely shine though is when I'm doing anything active working out and/or running I don't think I've ever had headphones that fit so well and comfortably, and also stay put so firmly during whatever workout I'm doing.

I highly recommend these!

I've never cared much for my headphones. I've always just used the apple ones that came with my phone or iPod. When I tried these earbuds, it was like night and day. I wasn't continuously smashing them in my ears while running and the sound was amazing! The fit around my ears was perfect once I molded it to me. As a marathon runner, music is very important to keep me going, so i'm definitely happy with this pick!

I'm a part-time professional videographer who shoots mostly corporate videos for internal use and at conferences and seminars. I've been shooting happily with a Canon prosumer camcorder but recently decided to augment my shooting with a Nikon D5100 DSLR.

Shooting professional quality video with DSLRs has some issues, but, by far the biggest one is getting quality audio. All DSLRs lack XLR inputs (essential for using quality microphones) and most lack a headphone jack, which is essential for monitoring sound. The Juicedlink DT414 is one of several devices available to remedy these audio issues. This unit is essentially the same as the DT454, but lacks phantom power and AGC defeat, which I didn't need. I use a variety of both balanced and unbalanced microphones, both electret condenser and dynamic. Beachtek makes a similar unit at the same price which I tested also. I preferred the Juicedlink.

Most important to me is sound quality, because that's the reason I bought it in the first place. The DT414 has a very low-noise preamplifiers and an open, clean sound. The overall quality is excellent. It also has 30db of very clean, quiet active gain which is essential if you use dynamic mics like a Shure SM58. (The Beachtek had only 20db gain.) The reason gain is so important is that this allows you to turn down the noisy pre-amps built into the SLR. The DT414 has four separate level controls and both XLR and 1/8" TRS inputs. Any mic that doesn't need phantom power can be used with it successfully. This unit uses very bright LEDs to indicate proper level and they're easily calibrated over a wide range. They should be accurate with almost any recording device. (One reviewer knocked this unit for not being usable right out of the box. Really? This is a professional device and most people who are serious about sound won't mind spending an hour setting it up once.)

The construction of the DT414 seems solid although slightly unrefined. But there are a few ergonomic issues. Some of the switches are on the bottom of the unit and need a small screwdriver to flip them. Most of these only need to be used once at setup. But the one that allows you to switch the TRS input from being mic level to line level to monitor your recording after you record it is also on the bottom and very inconvenient when you want to switch from one function to the other. Also, the 1/4" threaded hole for a tripod screw and the captive screw for attaching to the camera are too close together so a quick release plate covers the screw and must be removed first in order to remove the camera. But these are pretty minor inconveniences.

I did have reason to contact customer support, and both times I got a quick reply from Robert Rozak, who is the company president and chief engineer/designer. That level of personal, knowledgeable support is unusual and highly desirable in my book.

Overall, the DT414 is a very high performing and useful tool at a very reasonable price.

Setup was automatic, easier than our previous Shure wireless headset, which required setting the channel. The sound quality is full and clear. We do have a problem with the windscreen coming off when packing and unpacking the microphone headset from our tight travel case. The windscreen comes with a velcro to hold it in place on the mic, but we must be too rough with it.

These are very good quality! I love the fitting and the colors!

I order one package every year. Some times I lose them or they wear down due to sweat and make-up over time, so I find I need a new pack once a year.

They last a year. I interchange in every class according to the mood of color I am in :) I teach a lo of different gorup exercise classes.

Some complained how expensive they are. They actually are much cheaper than specialty store prices and they are good quality. Consider these.

These are decent (average) quality. They are quite tiny and quite delicate beware of damaging them! They are attractive, and do what they are supposed to do.

But the vendor's pricing of this tiny little item, which cannot have a production/transportation cost exceeding 99 cents each, is so exorbitant as to not be funny. The advertised LIST price of these tiny simple foam puffs is near $40 and even at $17 or so, it is absurd. Hopefully there will be some serious retail competition soon, and drive the price of these down where it belongs, near a dollar or two each, instead of nearly $4 each.

Perfectly fine little windscreens, if you have tons of money. I consider this price a retail gouge, and have rated it thus.

Works as advertised and lots of cool colors. I teach Spinning and it really helps to have this muffle the breathing noise. A bit expensive, but these should last for a long, long time. Definitely made for a small microphone headset. Have had these for about 5 weeks and so far still working on the first one so they do hold up!

Not much to say here...I bought this cable to connect my new 2.1 speakers to my LCD HDTV. Insert the green plug from the speakers into the female side, then plug the red and white cables into the "Audio Out" terminals on the back of the TV. Not much more to it (my TV has an "external speakers only" audio option so you don't have to mute it or set the volume to 0). The speakers sound fantastic, much more lively and sharp compared to the built-in ones...no need for expensive "Monster" cables here.

At this price point the cable is heavy gauge and the connectors are nice and solid. Easily as good as a cable twice this expensive. Recommended.

I have been looking for this type of adapter for a while and have not been able to find at electronics stores.

I bought this because it was the cheapest to choose from. I figured that the worst thing that can happen is to pay for another one at $5 + shipping. But I was glad that this one works great with my flat panel TV and computer speakers.

My speaker cost about $40 and it sounds great. The sound is definitely better than TV's speakers and it is great alternative for speaker system that can cost over a few hundred dollars.

The adapter worked without any problems and no audible noise.

I had a nice stereo from the 90's with good speakers so I thought I'd use it for my PC audio. It's got great sound but does not have a mini-plug input. It has RCA connectors. No problem the RiteAV cable solved the problem converting the PC mini stereo jack to 2 RCA audio channels perfectly. The cable is well made and has nicely molded connectors. I like the very positive click I get with the mini-connector jack, holding the PC audio cable securely with a positive connection. I've used it for quite a while now and no problems with cables falling out or any other issues. I'm very happy with this adapter cable. For performing so well I give it 5 stars.

PROS:this is the perfect practice amp!!!!!! i love it!! i got it for christmas, and i use it all the time! i love how it has clean, crunch, metal, and insane settings! (my favorite is metal) this amp allows you to play any style whether it is country, blues, alternative, rock, metal, or deathcore! i am rockin' out to nirvana, ozzy, three days grace, skillet, guns n' roses, metallica, and evanescence! the effects are great, and you will need them for some songs. also it comes with a tuner, and a place to plug in anything you need to plug in like a footpedal or an effect box. it also comes with something very handy. it has a place to plug in your ipod, mp3 player, or cd player. just buy an audio cable at radio shack for $8. the sound is phenomenal when you play your ipod. this means you can play along with your favorite songs from the same source! this will take practicing to a whole other level.

CONS: the booklet it comes with is absolutely no help WHATSOEVER. the tuner sucks. just buy a chromatic tuner for $15. when you are on clean, it automatically turns on the echo effect, even if its off. to turn it off, you have to manually turn the echo effects knob all the way and back to turn it off. this can be very annoying if you dont want the echo effect.

Overall, a fantastic amp. Recommended for anyone. Hope this review helps.

I use this compact modeling amp for guitar practice in my living room and am thinking about doing some recording with it. You will not believe the amazing sounds that can come out of this little box. The Clean amp model sounds as sweet as honey, and the Insane model kicks-out down-and-dirty, soul-satisfying distortion. There are two other amplifier models (Crunch and Metal) that pretty much cover the gamut of electric guitar amplification sounds. All six effects sound good, and this amp is light enough to haul around easily.

Read all the features this unit has. I can't believe the sound from this !!! Clean is very crisp. Crunch is classic rock Marshall tube sound, Metal is a cranked Laney &/or Peavey amp sound & Insane has that Mesa Boggie metal red tone for sure. All are adustable w/ tone & effects. each preset is nicely tunable with your pick up selector, volume & tone right at the guitar. It cranks too ! Gets nice & loud with very controlable tube like feedback. A must have ! The price is a steal & the case, speaker grill, knobs & buttons are very good quality. I give it raving reviews !

Want Line 6 Spider IV 15 15-watt 1x8 Modeling Guitar Amplifier Discount?

Bought this amp to play along with a Squier Classic Vibe 50's strat. It has a broad range of settings and effects that can be used. I found the clean channel to be not so clean. Tried resetting the clean several times to get rid of the pre-programmed echo or chorus effect, but it still has a bit of distortion to it. The crunch, metal, and insane channels all have their uses, but I found myself constantly playing to get to the sound quality I wanted regardless of channel or type of sound I was shooting for. I accessed some on-line help to try to work in the sounds, but it still takes more time to dial in the sound than I want to spend (more time messing with settings = less time playing).

Overall, the sound quality was OK for a practice amp

I'm sure that some people would be able to work this amp well for the type of music they are playing, but it just wasn't for me.

Buy Fom Amazon Now

Well, after reading the reviews I gave this little amp a shot. The first one that arrived was dead out of the box [I think it was poor packaging by Amazon and it likely got shocked too hard]. Well, logged into Amazon and quickly got the return/replacment squared away and they "next dayed" the replacement to me. The replacement worked, and I love the sounds this thing can create. The manual that comes with it is very sketchy so I logged in to get the online manual. It was not a whole lot thicker, but was more helpful and answered a couple of my questions about what seemed a little strange. The preset buttons automatically "set" the various volume and tuning settings, but do not move the actual knobs. Thus when you touch something like the local gain knob, it cuts out the autmatically loaded setting and restarts at wherever the knob is. Thus you can go from really loud, touch a button and have zero volume. Once you see what is happening, it makes setting those buttons up for your practice area nice and easy and sensible. This little amp has a lot of heart and soul in it and is just what I wanted. I am a 52 year old former rock and roll guitarist relearning my old skills and this amp has great sound and sustain, even at whatever volume you want to play it at. It definitely makes practicing much more fun then trying to work with my old 100 watt Gibson solid state amp circa 1974. I have to blow the doors off my house to get that old amp to sound good. The Spider IV is a much better investment then an expensive fuzz box for my old amp, especially since I have no plans to perform anywhere but at home [and if I do someday, I will likely look at their bigger amps]. Oh, and I use a Les Paul Ultra guitar. Buy it, you will have fun with it, and if it is for your kid to practice with, he/she will love it.

Well, the second one started acting funny after a couple days and now the FX stuff randomly jumps into the mix. I can no longer turn the FX stuiff off by turning the knobs off. The Clean channel has a fast tremelo and heavy reverb now. Thus number 2 is going back for a refund. I think it likely that shock during shipment nailed the electronics. The manufacturer just puts it in a box with no styrofoam corners and then AMAZON just puts it in another bigger box with no padding, and thus it can slide all over and is shipped flat, rahter then standing up. Thus, I loved it while it worked, but I am not attempting another delivery of this from Amazon because 2 out of 2 is too bad of odds. I am crushed.... i still rate it high because it has a lot of potential, I just think they need to package it a lot better, and/or design their boards for more shock before letting a mail order house sell it.

I got this guitar a few weeks ago. The downloadable video was a bit hard to figure out how exactly to get it because the website doesn't really give directions (they are in a different section of the website than where the guitar's detail is located). The video is good and does give the basics to get you going. It still sometimes goes a little out of tune, which is to be expected with a beginner guitar. The micro amp which comes with it is not very good and should be replaced with a real amp ASAP. So far, the micro amp has fallen out of the guitar twice (amazingly it still works despite hitting my hardwood floor. Also, the pics should be replaced with medium or heavy width pics (which are very cheap). The strings a decent enough to start with. I would recommend this for anyone's 1st guitar, but not really suitable for an experienced musician. For the price, it's a great deal.

I got this guitar a few days ago for Christmas. I've wanted to learn to play the guitar for 25 years at least, and my wife got it for me so I could play a bit and see how I like it. She went with this one because it was pretty cheap and she wasn't sure how serious I would be about using it or learning to play, so with this being under $100, it isn't much of a commitment. Overall the workmanship of the guitar is pretty good and it sounds good--more related to the amp than the actual instrument, I think, but still. I'm a novice, obviously, so I don't know that much about guitars, but I've played it till my fingers couldn't touch the strings anymore from being raw--this is normal until you have callouses on your fingertips, I'm told. So from my novice perspective, it's a good instrument. I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to see if they like playing/learning, or to anyone who wants to give it as a gift to teenage kids or something, where you don't really know if they will flake out in a day or not. Buy this, give it six months to see if you/your grandson will stick with it. If they do, then go spend hundreds on a nicer guitar or a better amp. Until then though, save your money and stress, and get this one to start with.

Want Spectrum AIL 90BP Custom Pro Series ST Style Electric Guitar with Mini Amp Pack, Black and White Discount?

If you buy this from Amazon for $79.99 then you're getting a 4 star deal!

For $129.99 it's not so good a deal. There's better ones out there for that price like Fender Squires or Fender Starcasters.

That aside.. The guitar over all is very good looking. It has an antiqued accent. The pick guard and whammy bar tip are light cream colored. The neck and fret board look aged and the black paint around the bodys edge has a hazed faded look.

Out of the box the strings were no good (flat). Change them right away with some new ones. The strings were a bit high on the bridge and I had to lower them. It now sound pretty good and I'm glad to have it in my collection.

The little plug in amp is kinda cool. It'll run on a 9 volt battery for about 8 hours. You can plug in headphones and you can plug in your mp3 player and play along with your tunes.

One word of caution. Don't try to put flat wound strings on. I tried and they almost ripped the bridge off.

If you're on a budget then this is a decent deal at the lower Amazon price.

My previous headphones were an ultra-cheap set from the local generic box store. They started to irritate my ears after only a few minutes of use, so they had to go! I do a lot of gaming, and using Skype to call family members long-distance. I bought the CAD U2 headphones a year and a half ago, and still use them daily.

Pro:

*Sound quality. NOT 5.1 surround sound, but very good stereo sound. Crisp high, mid, and balanced bass. Plenty loud enough to cause hearing loss(it's Bob Cramer, from Artillery!), and as quiet as you like.

*Microphone. I've compared Skype voice test with these versus the cheap set I had previously, and there is a huge positive difference with the CAD U2's. One other reviewer mentions muffled sound, and I wonder if they had the foam on the end of the microphone backwards (opening in the foam should be facing your mouth).

Con:

*Ear Comfort. It took me a while to find a comfortable position to wear these. The ear pieces just barely cover my ears {which are small). They are not large enough to go around your ears.

*Head Comfort. There is no padding on the top of the headphone band. I have the headband size maxed out and position it somewhat forward so it lays as flat as possible.

Other:

*Noise blocking. While not noise-canceling, they diminish background noises enough to make it impossible to understand my wife speaking from 10 feet away. At least as far as she knows. :}

*USB connection. If you use a sound card, you will probably not be looking at these instead of surround-sound headphones. On the other hand, it's a good thing in case your headphone or microphone jack is already occupied or doesn't work.

Not the most comfortable headphones out there, and not surround sound. Good quality, durable, does the job. I can't justify spending 3 times the money for something else, and I would buy these again today.

Bought the CAD U2 USB Stereo Headphones with Mic for creating some tutorial videos for family and friends, and love them. For the price on these, they are great. Recorded voice sounds great, no hiss or ambient noise. Cord length is great, nice and long enough for me to be able to move around in my office chair without having to unplug them. Louder than my regular headphones. Headphones have good sound, nice bass reproduction. The only , ONLY complaint I have about these are the ear pads could be a little larger to fit on the ear a little better, but works nonetheless. The ear pad size was not enough for me to take away a star for the review as I have a big head anyway (LOL)! For $36, one of the best sets I have ever bought. Very light as well. I have started using these for my podcasts, and they sound great!

UPDATE: It is February 6th, 2012, and my headphones just suddenly quit working! I was in the middle of a song, heard some crackling, and then they died. I've spent 4 hours now trying multiple solutions to get them working again. They are simply kaput! Went on CAD Audio's website to check warranty info, and nothing but an email address for support. So, I'll get back with how this turns out.

It is now February 10th, and three emails to support at CAD Audio have gone unanswered. Just a stupid auto responder. Apparently CAD doesn't support their products. I know it's not Amazon's fault that CAD doesn't respond, but it sure makes me think twice before purchasing from Amazon, and their suppliers again.

Without a doubt, this is the best affordable headset that I have ever owned. I use this for recording podcasts, voice overs for presentations, and Webinars. It is comfortable and great at isolating me from environmental noise. Best of all, clients commend me for taking the time and effort to make a recording in a professional sound studio, even though I have recorded at my desk in my home office. Excellent for Skype as well.

The other reviews regarding the quality of the microphone are more positive than my experience. When I record with them, my voice always sounds muffled. The sound from the earpieces is fine in general, but I'd gladly have settled for lousy sound and a better mic.

I purchased the CAD u2 headphones to record some webinars and audio recordings for a business that I run.

This is no run-of-the-mill recording that I am doing since I am selling what I create for large amounts of money and rely on these for all of my recording needs.

I was very impressed with the sound quality (although it does pick up ambient noise due to the sensitivity), and even the sound quality wasn't half bad.

You don't buy these for superior listening, but more so for recording Very good to high quality audio for podcasts, webinars, or other recordings.

For that purpose, these do the trick at a very reasonable cost, and I recommend them highly for that purpose.
