The DeckSaver line is described as "a polycarbonate dust cover". I should have known better and not blind ordered the item based on hype.

1. "polycarbonate" means, Rubbermaid container lid. The material is soft and flexible, not hard like a traditional turntable cover. It's a thin plastic too.

2. The plastic isn't in perfect condition with light scratch streaks right out of the shipping bag. It looked like someone wiped this down with a paper towel before sending.

3. The product was shipped in a plastic bag with a "DeckSaver" branded cardboard badge stapled to the open end of the bag. For $80, I'd expect the product to come better protected than this.

4. In the images, the DeckSaver wrapped around the edges of the Pioneer DDJ-T1. On the DDJ-S1 (verified compatible by the official DeckSaver website), it won't drop all the way down. The edges of the DeckSaver sit on the curved ends of the USB controller

This product is ... well ... what it is. A thin, plastic, not so well fitting, dust cover. I'm more upset in myself for buying it. There's no way that this product can justify an $80 price tag.

If you live in an extremely organized, well kept, showroom of a house ... the DeckSaver is pretty. It looks nice. Otherwise, a nice piece of cloth from the fabric store will do the same thing for $5.

I was skeptical about this 1w head, as I wondered if it would be enough power for me. After having it for about 5 months, it's been quite good for me, even through my 4x12. However, if you're going to run a distortion pedal through it, it's somewhat hard to get a lot of volume from it, since you have to have the gain as low as possible almost, or the sound quality just gets muddy. I run a Metal Muff through it, and if I turn the volume all the way up, I can definitely hear it anywhere in my house. However, I can't imagine putting it outside and expecting the whole neighborhood to hear it, for example. Maybe about 4-6 houses down, they'll hear it a little bit. Anyway, it's definitely good for home use. Also, I was disappointed with the absence of a 3-band EQ, but the ISF works great. All the way to the left, you get your Master of Puppets tone, and at 1 o'clock, I got what I believed to be a good Megadeth tone. If I had to admit what I like least about this amp, it's the reverb. It's not very noticeable, and it almost seems absent when I run my distortion pedal through it, but I wasn't expecting much, anyway. Overall, it's a great amp, but I imagine saving up an extra $100 and getting the HT-5H would be more worth it.

It's tiny--clips to your shirt or pants pocket. Weighs nothing. Simple to operate. Doesn't look like much, but it's got it ALL.

Up to 9 beats per measure (9/4, 9/8). Three volumes--mute/low/medium/high volume (I'm a drummer and listen to it through drummers' sound-isolating headphones, and I use it on low with the headphones on and hear everything perfectly). TAP feature for quick, custom tempos (just hold the Play button down, tap in the tempo, and hold it down again once you've set the bpms). Many subdivisions of quarters, eighths, and sixteenths. As many or more than the expensive units.

My $40 Korg metronome (many positive reviews here on Amazon) only goes to 7 beats per measure and, with headphones, only gives me either mute or maximum volume, too painful to use for my ears. This little gem gets it right and for only $2. INSANE.

Can't speak to its durability, as I've only had it a couple weeks, but for the price and features, it CANNOT be beat (Really, no pun intended). I say every musician should have one for practicing, scales, or rudiments.

Thrilled with it. Decent metronomes should NEVER cost $40, yet alone $140 as many "better" ones do. It's a plastic housing and microchips, after all; costs nothing to make or produce. This unit'll make you rethink the "big boys" and the markups so prevalent in our industry. Grab one and enjoy.

This microphone is quickly becoming a standard for podcasters. It can be used without a mixer or preamp by connecting it to a computer with a USB cable. If you want to use it with a mixer, it also has XLR output. Both the USB and XLR outputs can be used at the same time.

The mic's sound is excellent. The podcaster's microphone of choice and justifiably so is the Heil PR40. It's the one that Leo Laporte uses on his Internet and radio shows. If you can afford a PR40, buy one. However, if you want to save some money and get a fabulous value, buy this mic. It's cheaper than a Shure SM58, a Blue Snowball, or Audio Technica AT2020, and it sounds better.

Buy Audio-Technica ATR2100-USB Cardioid Dynamic USB/XLR Microphone Now

I bought 2 of these mics to use as guest mics on my podcast and I'm floored by their sound quality. I have a Shure SM7B mic costing 7 times as much as this mic and although I like the Shure a little better, I'm sure that this is because of my investment. The ability to work with both USB and and XLR is another great plus.

The sound quality is amazing for a mic in this price range and in my opinion is equal to other mics costing at least triple the price. Unlike another rater, I haven't had any problems with my mics using the USB or a mixer.

This mic is cheap enough to buy as just a Skype mic, but also good enough to work well with podcasting, and by this I mean head and shoulders over some other cheap mics like the Blue Snowball. Also, because it is a dynamic mic it also cuts down on the background noise.

Please don't feel that this is some sort of starter mic, it isn't. Even for triple the price it would still be the best sounding mic in my humble opinion. Also, my Mackie mixer has no problem powering this mic and does so easily, plus it works great on USB mode.

This Audio Technica mic, the ATR2100-USB, is just kickin'! INCREDIBLE off-axis rejection at 90º for you stage types, almost absolute rear-end rejection. It sounds as good as comparative tests I've heard of the Apogee MiC (all respect to Apogee, a wonderful company) and comes with all the extras: tripod stand, both USB and XLR cables of realistic length, mic clip you can use on the tripod stand or a regular mic stand.

Sound is, of course, the bottom line: What should you reasonably expect of a mic that costs so little? To be shocked, that's what. Excellent sound, slight presence rise at about 2K, peaks a bit higher at 5K. Amazing for around $36 on Amazon, and it sounds better than some AT mics I''ve used that cost a couple hundred dollars; less peaky and intrusive in the high mids. With that more moderate presence boost, it'd likely be super for guitar as well, though I've not experimented with that as yet. Wow! I've run a recording/production suite since 1978, and have worked with many mics costing as much as 30x this price: Neumanns, AKGs, other Audio Technicas, Rødes, Sennheisers, on and on. For my purposes, this $36 mic (at time of my purchase) stands up in this good company as being quite usable, and for voice, perhaps almost in range of some of the best. No, it's not an $8,000 Neumann. It doesn't need to be.

I have no complaints about the excessive noise floor that others have mentioned. Frequency response is excellent, distortion remarkably low. Yes, it rolls off rapidly at the bottom end at around 50Hz, but you're going to be rolling that off anyway most of the time. You may have to look elsewhere if you're recording taiko drums or whalesong. Or maybe not. Thirty six dollars! I keep shaking my head. This feels like a mistake. It compares favorably to the Apogee Mic in online tests, and stands tall against a Røde NT1 I'm using for voice over work in the main studio. I look forward to bringing it into the A studio with its hypercritical speakers and hearing what it can do.

In operation, I've tried it on the Mac with Logic Pro X and on the iPad, using the required Camera Connection Kit, in Garage Band and Meteor. It performed very well. In Garage Band, I was able to listen to the already recorded tracks while monitoring the voice via the ATR2100-USB's integral headphone jack, 1/8". Yup. Playback of accompaniment material with zero-latency monitoring on your voice. Good stuff. On the Mac, I needed to unplug the mic in order to hear playback through my speakers, for some reason; this was not true on the iPad, as plugging the headphones into the iPad jack resulted in playback even with the mic still plugged in. I'll experiment further with Logic may be a Mac thing, or I may just have messed up. Goldberg's Law: "there's always one more button."

So would I recommend this mic? To anyone. If you're cutting a classical violin partita album you'll have to use your own judgment, but A/B tests may yield surprises. I can't speak to longevity, obviously, since this just arrived. I've had some mics I've used successfully for 10 years and more. But for Windows, Mac or iOS recording (latter with the CCK), this is a tough one to beat. Don't even try.

Five stars cuz that's all there are. --BobboGoldberg, 9/1/13

Audio-Technica ATR2100-USB Cardioid Dynamic USB/XLR Microphone

I'm a filmmaker that makes tutorials on visual Effects and Graphic Design for Youtube (Agent2018) so I needed something that was clear with no hums or hisses. Something that would sound profession without the professional price, and this is it! I've tried using a ton of different mics but nothing has worked quite like the Audio-Technica ATR2100 microphone. It's clean, clear and easy to connect due to not needing any drivers to install, just plug and go.

The other great things about this mic is it come with all the cables you'll need, a mini mic stand for your desk and a mic holder. The mini desk stand does feel cheap and will probably transfer noise if u tap or bump the desk, but if you get a regular floor stand you should be good. Also, The mic has a headphone jack with volume control for monitoring...AMAZING!

All in all, I would recommend this to anyone looking to get a mic to sing, vlog, do voice overs, podcasts or online tutorials.

Pros:

Great price.

Sound is clear.

Easy set up.

Comes with all the cables.

Separate headphone jack on mic with volume control for monitoring.

Cons:

Mini stand is cheap. (petty, I know. lol)

I work for a company that produces quite a few podcasts, and we needed a bunch of common microphones. Everyone had something different, working with different acoustic environments, etc. I tested a few microphones, and went with the ATR2100, because it is friendly with most rooms, unlike many condenser microphones, due to it's very good off-axis rejection. In terms of signal to noise, it's not the cleanest thing around, and there is a bit of a mid-range peak that is particularly noticeable with my voice, not so bad with others, but that's all taken care of in post-production processing. Fortunately, what noise there is from the mic's internal preamp mostly appears to be preamp hiss, not that nasty USB system bus noise found on far too many interfaces, so it's easy to clean up with multi-band gates, FFT-based noise reduction, and other similar things. Most people don't complain about preamp noise from the ATR2100 in it's default, unprocessed state, and I've certainly seen far worse. The convenience factor makes up for it, anyway.

I've used the ATR2100 on Mac, Windows and iPad, all with good results. I've also used it as a standard analog microphone with a few preamps, ART TPS-II, Focusrite Saffire Pro14, and in-line with a Cloudlifter CL1, and others. Not bad, but not my favorite microphone for my particular voice. That having been said, microphones are incredibly subjective, and a mic that sounds terrible on your own voice may sound great for someone else.

This cable works perfectly to connect an iPod to a stereo receiver. The fact that the cord is a lengthy 12 feet is also useful.

I bought this cable two months ago. It arrived on time and the product is exactly as advertised.

I usually plug/unplug this cable to my laptop's headphone jack about once daily, and I often move my laptop around while the cable is plugged in. The RCA ends stay plugged in to my stereo most of the time. After a month and a half of use, I must wiggle the male headphone end to some "sweet spot" to get sound from my right speaker as well as my left. When it works, however, it works perfectly well.

If you intend to plug this cord in to electronics that you do not plan on moving around much, this cord will do the job well. However, if you plan to plug/unplug it often, consider paying a little bit more for a more durable cord.

Note for Amazon: the product description mentions cup earphones in the package, none are included.

Even without the phones this is a very good buy: the sounds are rich, easy to set up. I have also the elder brother of this product (YDD-55), which has 100 rythms compared with the 50 this one has, but it is also more expensive.

Ideal for the piano, bass or guitar player to use it for background percussion track.

Judging by the descriptions, not sure this was meant as a toy, but not sure what to call it as it is not being used as a drum trainer. Our 10 year old son is interested in music, but hasn't started in any formal music lessons. He likes to use this with his headphones and drum along with the music. The only issue is that with the hard plastic surrounding the rubber pads, when he misses, it is louder than we'd like. Still, so far it has been fun for our son to play and spends significant time finding new tunes and new drum patterns.

I'm confident in the Yamaha brand, so I'm expecting no problems.

I've owned several mixers over the past 20 years from the low-end swap shop "no-name" mixers up to the top of the line Vestax and Rane series, and I can say that the DJTECH DIF1S is truly an excellent piece of gear. First and foremost, you need to understand that this mixer is not meant for the club or wedding DJ, but rather for the turntablist or anybody that specializes in the language of 'scratching'. If scratching is your thing and you don't want to shell out a bunch of cash, then I STRONGLY suggest this mixer. I hate the fact that whenever a company makes an affordable product, it's usually referenced with terms such as "entry level" or "budget", however I can assure you that's not the case here. Truth be told, I had never heard of this company, however when I saw that Thud Rumble was selling this same mixer (albeit branded with the Thud Rumble logo), it immediately grabbed my interest and after doing my research, I made the purchase. Several months later, I can assure you that I made a very sound investment! Here's what you get:

* A rock-solid (built like a tank) 2 channel battle mixer with 3 EQs on each channel

* Super smooth up and downs

* Very solid knobs...nothing loose or flimsy

* A crazy tight crossfader powered by the Mini InnoFader which includes a fully adjustable contour slope

* A very simple/minimalistic layout which provides easy access to all of the faders, knobs, and cue buttons

* Selectable PFL or Master for the meters

* A 1/4" and 3.5" headphone jack

* No "transform" switches or buttons. I've always hated these and thought they were cheesy and gimmicky!

* No wall-wart! That's right...this has a proper AC plug!

In short, there's nothing about this mixer that I don't like, and for less than $200, you can't go wrong! One feature that I haven't tinkered with yet is the switchable DVS/Phono input, but the way I see it, if I need to switch from timecode to vinyl, I'll just do it within Traktor.

The bottom line; don't think of this as a an entry level or budget mixer, but rather as an awesome and affordable piece of gear!

I've been DJ'n for over 15 years and I've had a ton of mixers. Being both a club and battle DJ I would definitely say that this mixer leans more on the battle side. The sound is crisp and the crossfader is one of the best around. If you're looking for a mixer to scratch and do the occasional party, I highly suggest this mixer. However, if you're looking for a mixer with lots of bells and whistles, I doubt this mixer is for you. This is for serious scratch heads that want a cost efficient mixer to get down on.

This is undoubtedly one of the most clean and accurate mixers I have ever used since 1998 when I started scratching. vs. Vestax, Rane, Pioneer, Stanton, Behringer,Gemini, LOL Radio Shack. I bought it to replace my vestax pmc 06 which is smooth and accurate, but has a lot of noise in the fader. A friend has the same vestax 06 with an Innofader upgrade, but it still pops when cutting because of the vestax analog design. So I've been looking for a mixer that I can record my scratches with without spending the totally outrageous prices the other companies are charging. It needs to be very clean sound, and cut fast without delay. The dj tech does!

I am relieved to have found this mixer. Thanks dj tech for putting out a product that scratch heads can use. This isnt for djs who want bpm counters, flashing lights, and transform buttons. It is what all of the turntablists wanted before midi cues were important. Its a clean face without a bunch of unnecessary bs, and a hamster switch with curve on the clean, smooth, accurate crossfader. For 90% of scratching this is enough.

Since there aren't many out there yet for people to try before buying the fader is very similar to the Rane in smoothness and fader cap design and feels just as sturdy. But I think this fader cuts faster and more accurate than the Rane or Pioneer. There is a worthwhile youtube video of short-e dif-1s vs Rane where she does a side by side.

I bought with a free next day shipping promo and got it less than 12 hours after ordering freaking awesome. $2500.00 mixers can stay on the shelf. And the guy who gave the negative review works for radio shack don't believe this troll.

Let me start off by saying that I'm not a fan of in-ear headphones, but I use them when working out because over-the-ear headphones are too cumbersome for me.

Overall I really like these headphones for the price. They seem well built. The one thing that I initially found strange was that the cord to one ear was shorter than the other. Initially that threw me, but it actually makes sense and is more comfortable when you wear an iPod on your arm or waistband. The one key for me is good in-ear fit. These phones come with 3 different size covers and I found the smallest one provided a good fit for me. They are comfortable enough to wear for at least an hour. Sound is really subjective, but with a good fit these provided good bass and clean highs. On the bass side of things, it seems that many people prefer a very 'bassy' sound, while I prefer an overall balanced sound. If you want deep, thumping, unnatural bass, these may not be for you.

Just for fun I compared these to the buds that come with iPods and my 2 favorite headphones (I have others, but these are the only ones I use now), a pair of Shure in-ear that I bought for about $100 and the Bose over-ear noise-cancelling phones that I bought for about $350.00.

Compared with the buds that come with the iPod there is just no comparison. The Yamaha phones are more efficient (louder for the same amount of input), have much better overall sound--better bass and clearer mids and highs. I also find that I can wear the Yamaha in-ears longer than the iPhone buds. In general you would expect an in-canal phone to have better bass, but regardless these phones smoke the buds that come with iPods.

The Yamaha phones compared very well against the Shure in-ear model--my previous favorite in-ear model. Overall I would say the Yamaha was more comfortable to wear--likely because the covers are made of a softer material. The bass and high-end on the Yamaha were much more clear, though I would say I prefer the mid-range on the Shure (could be it is EQ'd that way). I think for most listeners the Yamaha phones are comparable to this $100 model.

As I said, I prefer over-the-ear headphones to the in-canal phones, so to me the Bose are much more comfortable to wear--I can wear them for a very long airplane flight with no problem. The Bose also have a much better bass, as you would expect, and are more efficient than the Yamahas (don't need as much volume to create the same sound output). The Bose are more 'warm' sounding and the Yamaha is more 'clean' sounding. Given my choice I'd listen to the Bose phones--that's just not always possible.

Overall, thumbs up for these phones--I'll keep using them at the gym.

Well..I tried almost more than 10 earphones which were part of cnet's review ( excellent ones )..sennheiser and klipsh were good...but i found them only great for some genre of music..

But these earphones are are for all type of music..perfect combination of bass-treble and mid tones..

It again depends on your player's settings..these earphones can produce very high trebles..so u need to keep them little lower..

Windows media player provided SRS Tru bass just blends with these earphones..i found very few phones which can tolerate 100% SRS Trubass..but these earphones CAN..so u know the bass response.

Go for it and you dont have to return anymore..

Have been enjoying these headphones for a couple of years. Thought they were dead last night when my wife found them in the bottom of the washing machine. She had washed my work jeans which had these in my pocket. Figured I would be back to buy a new pair. However, I tried them and they still work perfectly!! Amazed.

First off, I find it to be humorous that so many reviewers on here do not understand the asymmetrical cord lengths. One goes behind your neck people!! This means less cable in front of your chest to get caught up with your hands and whatnot. This is a good thing, trust me. My main complaint however is that I had to send mine back twice because they broke. One after maybe 6 months, the other after 3, both after hard daily use. Luckily the warranty is good for a year, so once I get mine back I will enjoy listening to the well balanced sound.

In short, this is the best $30-40 you can invest into your portable music/iPod experience. There are many different styles and designs of earphones on the market today; often they are all style and no substance. This is one of those rare sets of earphones that exudes elegance, simplicity, and balanced, true-to-life audio fidelity. This is no surprise since Yamaha is very experienced in the music/recording industry. What is surprising, however, is how well these bargain bin 'phones perform (especially in context of the Yamaha lineup which also includes much pricier products). The EPH-30's are extremely balanced and unassuming in the way they reproduce sound crisp highs, clear mids, and ample lows. During some tracks, they may seem skewed towards the upper end of the frequency spectrum; however, what is surprising about these earphones is their high volume performance. The highs remain crisp and perhaps become even warmer, balanced by increased bass boost at elevated volumes. Meanwhile, the midrange shows no tendency to break up when you crank it up, especially in comparison to other similarly priced earphones. In short, this is the most natural, balanced pair of earphones you can nab for under $50, and the argument extends to include it's $100 competitors too.

not really much you can say in a review for a cheap cable cheaper than going to radio shack or wal-mart for the cable and it does the job it is supposed to

i saw the review where someone got a reverse wired cable so i tested and mine is properly wired the left channel comes from the left speaker and the right channel from the right speaker

the cable feels cheaply made and i do have my doubts about the durability but this cable isn't going to be tugged and yanked so it will do for my needs

Best product for the price and had a very fast delivery. I used it to plug my ipod into the head unit in my car. A homemade ipod adapter of sorts.

I bought a bunch of these cables a while back (different connections, so they show up as different products, but they are all mostly the same). I echo my other reviews for them when I say that the quality of these wires and connections is great and the price makes them a 5 star product. Recommended.

I perform a solo acoustic act, singing and accompanied by a hybrid flatpick, fingerstyle guitar style at Gallagher's Irish Pub located in the historic 1877 Eagle House in Eureka, California. I need to hear the bass, treble and melodic phrasings as well as my vocals clearly. The Aphex amplifier used in conjunction with high end Westone earbuds accomplishes this extremely well. I can hear all of the ranges clearly and distinctly, without the worry of feedback from bulky monitor speakers.

Our laboratory is doing auditory research with subjects wearing headphones and needed an amplifier with very low distortion. Indeed, the Headpod 4 has the lowest distortion of ANY amplifier I could find (priced under $2,000).

Besides using it with several models of Sennheiser headphones in a sound booth, the lab is also doing research with subjects inside an fMRI brain scanner (looking at brain activity while people hear various sounds). Inside the noisy MRI machine, special non-magnetic earphones are used that require a lot of power. The manufacturer recommended using a small audio power amplifier, but that would cause too much distortion. The Headpod 4 works perfectly; it delivers plenty of power with very low distortion!

The overall quality is excellent. The power supply is better than average and comes with four different adaptor plugs for various international standards. Even the box is nice; printed on an inside flap is the Aphex mascot robot. Adorable!

I'm totally pleased with the Aphex Headpod 4 amplifier. I use it exclusively with two headphone sets and my Korg MicroArranger music keyboard. One headphone is Audio-Technica M50 (38 ohm); the other is BeyerDynamic 880 Pro (250 ohm). Reason I bought the Aphex Headpod was to power the 250 ohm Beyerdynamic headphones. The Aphex amp produces noticeably clean audio, although less volume than I expected. Equivalent volume as what my Korg keyboard puts out with 38 Ohm headphone. Totally adequate and high quality audio, which is why I'm pleased with Aphex Headpod, but unable to give 5 star rating, perhaps unfairly, due to my expectations of loads of volume from the amp. Still, the Aphex ... I recommend without reservation.
