I was a little worried about stringing two of these together to give musicians recording in other rooms across the house a feed for their headphone monitors. These cables, however, worked flawlessly. No noise or attenuation that I could hear. VERY HAPPY with this purchase (I bought 6 of them).

What can I say? They work and they're super cheap! Much better than going to a store like radioshack and paying double or triple for the same thing.

I can tell you I will not ever be using this extension cable and will definitely be spending the money on, what hopefully will be, a better quality one in the future. I had luck with the 15ft extension but that ended up being too short for my needs. This 25 ft. was bad from the first try. I spent the whole time fiddling with my headphone jack trying to find the "sweet spot" so I could get the full audio only to have it vanish as soon as I took my fingers off it. I tested the shorter cable and then just the headphones and they were both fine.

I'm not an audiophile so I wasn't concerned with super high quality or anything, just being able to listen to the TV without disturbing my wife. But this couldn't even provide an acceptable level of quality.

I'm sure there are decent cables like this out there, and for the price I would even say it was worth the gamble to hopefully get one of them. Only this gamble didn't pay off.

My only warning would be to not get your hopes up.

The good:

Price is cheap.

Length is long.

Good for listening to audio presentation or audio books where sound quality does not matter a lot.

The bad:

Shipping is a bit expensive for a small item.

Volume quality is reduced but can be easily compensated.

The ugly:

Sound quality is greatly reduced. The sound of high frequency instruments are almost lost.

I bought this for my MP3 player. That's the reason for the two-star rating.

Pay no attention to the poor review on this product, THIS IS HEADPHONE EXTENSION CABLE. Do not use this if you're only interested in a top notch sound system. This is perfect for MP3 players and I use it to connect my amplifier to my iPod. If you want top notch sound, stick with RCA cables or something in this department. But I must say, for my decent home stereo system these extensions worked perfect! And fast shipping too!
