If you are the only one using this mixer, it's excellent. It has the most input options with the most amount of faders I've been able to find for it's size (and i maintain sound systems at several venues and have bought a half dozen of the C3s, C3USBs, etc) to accommodate many many inputs (2 cds, 2 turntables, 2 Serato channels, 2 guest inputs, 2 ipod inputs, 2 mics... it's all there, at the same time.

and it all works. Sonically it's fine. It's not a big deal as most DJs play MP3-quality audio anyway (pffft!).

The problem is when it gets over-used or abused by multiple DJs (or one abusive DJ). it wears down very easily, hence the Numark name and the price.

the crossfader stops working, the headphone jack, cue slider, in/out jacks, volume pots, faders, etc, all wear out easily, get dirty easily, or just plain stop working.

Replacement plans are great for it if you can go a month without needing your mixer or if you have a spare to use as a backup. But if you need to have it working all the time, buy 2.

I've been using this every day as part of a fixed installation for a few years now. I have brought it out to gigs a few times as well. The EQ is quite musical in nature and the various features like mono/stereo mode are useful for my application. Its headphone output provides a lot of power so you should be able to drive higher-impedance headphones with ease.

Be aware that the "three mic inputs" are not all XLR, just the first one, which is one of those combo XLR+1/4" jacks. So if you have more than one XLR input device you'll need adapters. This unit does not provide phantom power so if you're using a condenser on that one XLR input you'll need a separate device called a phantom power supply.

All in all, a great unit for CD DJs and house CD systems.

Very affordable for a great product. I've used Numark for years in my mobile DJ systems. I would recommend this product for those who want a mid grade mixer.

If you are looking for a basic mixer with LOTS of inputs and you don't need or want built in effects this is a good choice. Seems pretty solid and no issues with operation so far.
