I had a keyboard as a kid and knew that it would go over well for my boyfriend's 8 y/o artist/musician/gymnast wanna be. While most of the features are too advanced for her, she's catching on!

I did a lot of searching. The price for just the keyboard was somewhat standard for a sale price at at least one store, but I couldn't find such a reasonable bundle anywhere. Any parent who considers this MUST, MUST, MUST purchase the headphones, and the stand is a blessing. It keeps it off the floor and makes for a more realistic piano lesson at home.

Good sound; lots of bells and whistles. Sure it doesn't have 88 keys, but most people don't use the top or bottom keys very often. I think this keyboard is just perfect!

I had to return this product package because the "Deluxe Keyboard Stand" was not compatible with this keyboard. Yamaha's customer service was horrendous. They just said that it was a package deal and that there was nothing they could do about it. I asked them why in the world they would put together a package with parts that were not compatible with each other and none of the representatives I spoke with could give me a reasonable answer, including a supervising manager. I told them that the keyboard itself sounded fine and asked them if I could simply return the stand and replace it with a compatible stand, which they said that they had in stock. But they refused and said that I had to go through Amazon and return the whole package. It was very frustrating and I feel very soured toward Yamaha. Thankfully, I kept the packaging boxes in good order and Amazon's customer service is great so I was able to return the whole package for a full refund.

Performs as advertised. My daughter is learning to play songs from the built-in tutor in the keyboard. I can't say enough about the hours of entertainment she gets out of this. It's a quality keyboard at a great price. I am a satisfied customer.

I purchased this keyboard with some "found money" which I had not previously anticipated. I chose this product because of the Yamaha brand name. Yamaha is, in my opinion, one of the best producers of musical instruments in the world: whether they're wind instruments, pianos, or electronics, you can't go wrong with Yamaha. The keyboard functions exactly as it should. The sounds are excellent (as far as an electronic keyboard is concerned). I have no complaints about the keyboard. I use this mainly to practice organ works using a midi connector and a program on my computer. There were no problems setting it up, and I have had no problems using it. The keys are not weighted, but I'm not using this primarily for piano practice, so that is fine with me. You can decide whether this is a good or a bad thing for you.

When I bought this product, I was unsure about the connections available. They are the following: Power in (power charger is included), headphones/speaker out, sustain pedal in, Midi in/out.

As far as the stand is concerned, Don't listen to all the hype from the other reviewers about the stand not being compatible. This is inaccurate. The stand works exactly as it is supposed to: the keyboard sits on top of the stand, but is not bolted to it. It is perfectly OK to leave the keyboard sitting on the stand, provided it is not out in the middle of the room. If you bump against it, it is not likely to be knocked off. Just be careful with anything you pay over this amount of money for! It is a very solid stand.

The headphones are probably the weakest part of this package. They do block out a good amount of sound, but they are pretty heavy and fairly cheap. Also, if you plan on using the headphones, you need to order an adapter for a 3.5mm to a 1/4" adapter in order to use headphones provided. You can get this from Amazon or another retailer which sells small electronics. This adapter is not an item you should pay more than $3 for.

As for the package: The package was NOT put together by Yamaha itself. The products actually come from different brands. The keyboard and power adapter are from Yamaha. The stand is by on-stage stands. The headphones are by Nady. You may receive different brands in your package. I don't know.

I would recommend adding a few products to this package. I would definitely get a sustain pedal to go with this keyboard. Buy the cheapest one you can find--it doesn't have to be Yamaha brand to work. I would also buy a USB MIDI connection. Buy one for around $30. The best use of this would be for music notation software and for pipe organ simulators such as Hauptwerk or Miditzer.

I don't usually write reviews, but for such a big and cumbersome purchase, I had to. The stand is not compatible with the keyboard. End of story. It is a "World Tour" stand and the keybord has no other option except to rest unsteadily atop the stand. There is no way to 'fit' the stand into the grooves on the underside of the keybord or attatch the keyboard to the stand at all. So, we are keeping it and rigging it up our own way somehow, to help prevent an inevitable tip-over or slide-off.

I am not returning it because we bought it for our daughter's birthday, and that day is tomorrow. She is 6 and starting piano lessons. It seems like a hassle to return that whole package, and the keyboard itself seems fine. It's this 'bundle' that doesn't work out. My advice...buy local, buy separate. I am only giving this one star, because as a bundle, it is no good. Why bother selling a package deal with an incompatible stand??????
