This mixer works beautifully, is very solid in construction, and marked and labelled well enough for people with vision problems to easily hook it up. But it is NOT A STEREO MIXER. You may have to read the description closely to realize this because it's misleading. You don't want to hook a modern VCR or CD to these inputs unless you're not interested in stereo.

The inputs and outputs have dual RCA jacks, one marked red, the other white, just like a stereo mixer. But the jacks are simply connected in parallel and you really have only four mono channels in, and one mono channel out.

I originally got it to mix my Tivo, DVD player, and TV audio inputs for output to my stereo receiver. It mixed them all just fine, I was able to adjust for equal levels, and was surprised at the added amplification. Also, the clarity was good, and I was pleased at first. But then I noticed that I had no surround sound, no stereo, and only my center speaker was working.

Now I have a very solid, portable, high quality MONO mixer that I have no use for. Even my PC uses stereo microphones and inputs. If you want a mono mixer, I highly recommend this one, but if you want stereo, look for it's brother, the ART Powermix III.

I use this while making interview training videos on an iPad. I plug two mics into mixer and, using an inexpensive cable, plug the output into the mic/earphone port of the iPad. Cranked to about only one third, the audio is excellent for human speaking voices. I am using inexpensive wireless microphones. I am sure better mics would yield even better results, but what I am getting is adequate for my purposes.

Works great. I actually put it in my truck and wired my Uniden BCD996XT police scanner, Icom ID-880H D-Star ham radio, iPhone 5 and Yaesu FT 857 HF radio into this unit. I can use the headphone jack if needed so the wife doesn't nag, but essentially, I have all the radios going to this one mixer with the appropriate levels set. So now, I just control the mixing of the outputs and have one go to spot for everything. Works great for my use.

This has got to be one of the best buys I've made in a long time. I only wish I would have thought about getting one sooner.

I am using it with my computers. I have four computers that I have connected to the same audio system. Now, I don't have to disconnect/reconnect cables depending on what computer I am using at the time. They all go through the mixer and all I might need to do is adjust their (individual) volume every once in a while.

The unit is small, and fits neatly on my desk. This mixer IS unbalanced, so be sure to not run really long cables that will introduce line noise.

Overall, this is a great mixer at a really good price ($45).

P.S. I am thinking of buying another.

After setting up a smallish home theater for my bedroom and modifying a headphone set with velour earphone cups, the last thing I needed was a stand to set the headphones on. I had tried a couple of approaches that did not work out due to instability or needing two hands to hang them. I selected the "Brainwavz Quartz". The material is crystal clear polished plastic, not quartz. Quartz is the model name. The plastic bottom surface needed some clear rubber feet for friction, which I added. The result is a simple to use, single hand usable and stable stand. I like the design and it is the perfect "last item" for my system.

This is a very attractive head phone holder. Looks great on my computer desk. Set up was easy. You take it out of the packaging and place it on your desk. Head phones fit naturally on it's surface. It is also very sturdy. I was worried that the stand would fall over a lot but the base is very large and it stands the abuse of my cluttered computer desk. I imagine that this will last for years. Hopefully they will come up with a crazy design for two or more head phones. Thank you.

I was really looking for a good stand for my headphones at a pretty low price. I looked at many stands and too be honest, a lot of the stands were either to flimsy looking or they had a very narrow ledge that the cans actually rested on and over time, this would begin to deteriorate the headband in the spot that rested on the stand. So I came across this one by Brainwaves, which has a very sturdy design. Also the ledge where the cans rest is fairly wide, which disperses the weight better across more of the headband than just a tiny bit. So if your cans weigh a good amount, you won't have to worry about wearing a spot in your headband. What I like most about this stand is the fact that since the design of this stand is a little unique compared to others, let's the headphones not only rest on the ledge, but also has the cans extend down towards the base of the stand, there is an indention where the headphones are able to rest some of the weight, so as not all of the weight is being dispersed entirely on the headband, so there is literally no way that your headband will become damaged over time for hanging there.

Received this for a Xmas present and was stoked to set this up and listen to the new Metal records I recently purchased. Seeing as how there are a pair of weak built-in speakers on the player's sides, I hooked up a pre-amp and a couple speakers to boost the sound.

Well, the sound is there, but the bass is M.I.A. This is very disheartening for a music fan, never mind a Metal fan and bass player who adores the bottom end to Death and Grindcore. The treble is crisp, but who cares? There is no bass on this thing and I am extremely bummed because of this depressing revelation.

I don't care about all the bells and whistles this piece of crap wields, I just want a full sound to my music. It gives you about 60 percent, which is precisely the rating I would give this; a big fat D-minus. Very disappointed with this product and equally frustrated in trying to fix this problem. I tried buying a new pre-amp, using certain phono wires, and still an empty, treble-soaked sound.

Do not buy this record player if, like me, you want to play records with a full sound!!!

Only bummer is that it does not have stereo speaker hookups...it has the speakers built in on the sides, but I would like the option of adding extra speakers.

I bought it to have a headphone amp to practice with and I returned it after a day of playing with it. I thought the amp models were weak and mostly unusable, and the reberb was especially dissappointing. I exchanged it for the Line 6 Pocket Pod Express for only $30 more and I'm so glad I did. All the sounds on the Pocket Pod Express sound cool and it has 2 kinds of sweet reverb awesome! I do like the way the iGTR looks, but it doesn't make up for the sound quality.

Don't waste your money on the iGTR unless you just can't afford the extra 30 bucks for the Line 6. The iGTR will do it's job, just poorly.

Portability--10/10

Lightweight and small, the iGTR comes with sturdy belt that stays in place.

Ease of Use--7.5/10

The sound controls--everything from overdrive to spaced out phaser effects are simple enough to access via three rotary interfaces. Unfortunately, the rotary controls feel chinsey. Using the volume controls for both the guitar and auxiliary inputs is also a sad story--the side mounted rotary dials are both outdated and of low quality.

Sound Quality--6/10

The problem with this unit is that many of the electronic components are of low quality, including the headphone jack and auxiliary receptor, the volume controls, and the preamp--all of which significantly effect the sound.

Overall--7.8

iGTR keeps the neighbors happy when you are inspired at 2 a.m. and has a multitude of sounds effects but don't be surprised by that first burst of volume through the headphones when using those rotary volume pots designed for AM radios in the 60's.

I really like this pocket amp, it has many different sound options and levels; delay, chorus, reverb, wah, trem, phaser, warm, norm, and bright. It sounds good although I've never used it as an effects input to an amp. It does seem a little cheaply made but it's also cheaply priced. One note if you start getting output drop-out change the batteries.

Tiny but full of features. I velcroed mine behind the bridge of my practice guitar so I can just walk around with it wearing headphones at 3:00 AM and not bother my neighbors. I got a short 18" amp cord to run from the guitar to the iGTR. Works amazingly well. Try this: In addition to the iGTR, velcro an MP3 player to the guitar and feed its output into the aux input of the iGTR. Use the MP3 player to play a jam-track for you to play along with and you have the perfect practice machine. I love this thing.

While I have only had the product a few hours, it has worked great for me on Windows 7 x64 Professional. Recording and playback through the included ProTools SE works as advertised.

*I was a little leery of the plastic construction at first, but it is very sturdy for what it is.

*All of the potentiometers have a nice, silky smooth feel.

*The preamps have strong gain, and are pretty much noise free (except for the last 10% or so).

I needed something to use with my older [2007] Mac Pro tower so I could input audio from other sources such as "shortwave radios" and Microphones. This unit works just fine.

Just plug it in to your Mac with the usb cable, no need to install the drivers and it works with my existing audio programs. The preamp knobs allow precise level adjustment. There are little lights for each channel to let you know when the levels are too high as well. I'm very happy!

I've been using the previous version of the MobilePre with both Garageband and Logic Express and have had great results. There are, obviously, higher-end mic preamps out there, but this product has actually exceeded my expectations based on the price I paid. It's not jam-packed with features, but if you're just making simple demos with your voice, guitar, keys, etc. you really don't need that much. I haven't had any issues whatsoever with it. As long as you are careful to get the input level right (as loud as possible, but without clipping the signal) you really can't go wrong.

But, don't think that the protools se will make your life happy. at least this version is not worthy of your time.

First... the sound is very very good. I will not dispute that.

This box has limitations. You can only do four "effects" at once (including the fixed, global EXCELLENT 3-band EQ).

So... for me, that mans guitar modeling (the first bank is always guitar modeling, you can't change it) + parametric EQ (which I found necessary) and then you can add either reverb or delay or compression or chorus or mike modeling, but not two of those. I can live with that limitation, and chose mike modeling (I play in a big room, no need for reverb, and I detest chorus on acoustic guitar).

But... the user interface is measurably the very worst I've ever encountered in any digital effects processor in over 20 years of working with them, and in order to set it up to cycle between 3 different effects settings (a must for the way I do things), you have to "set it up" by hitting an unintuitive sequence of button and switch positions EVERY TIME YOU TURN IT ON!

In addition, after A/Bing it with my over-10-year-old Yamaha AG Stomp, the AG Stomp was the equal or better of this in every possible way. Most of the folks who I asked to listen to an A/B test I did thought it sounded better... so... I kept the AG Stomp and returned the A3 to the store.

I love Zoom and will probably try another product from them some day, but I can't imagine a more complete and total failure of a product.

I'd say it gets 3 stars for the guy who is going to set up one patch and use it with one guitar the same way every time.

I'd give it 0 stars for the rest of us.

So...

One star it gets (reluctantly).

Yes, I hated this product...

Buy Zoom A3 Pre-Amp and Effects for Acoustic Guitar Now

Many, many impressive features in this product for the serious or amateur musician. Designed in Japan, quality outside build with nicely appointed metal casing and quality aluminum milled control knobs. Basically, an all in one acoustic Swiss Army knife-blending of onboard pickup (piezo or electromagnetic) with dynamic or powered condenser mic, modeling to mimic the great acoustic standard body types, effects processing, EQ'ing, feedback detection with autofilters and a balanced XLR out or 1/4 plug unbalanced stereo out feed. An acoustic performers dream, right?? Well... let's talk about sonic performance.

This pedal is very quiet and quiet is good when you are playing acoustic guitar and singing. You do not want a high noise floor or annoying 60hz hum disrupting your artistry. Don't worry about noise with this pedal. Again, it is very quiet. But, lets talk serious about sonic clarity and fidelity. The pedal leaves me wanting for more on the pickup side. The sound is truncated and thin with everything in a neutral position. A-B your piezo or electromagnet with and without the pedal and you will hear what I mean. Add a microphone and this is not especially noticed in the ambience of the added mic sound. But what if you don't want to play with a microphone? Zoom needs to work on putting some quality in that aspect of the sound. Blended with a microphone and into a decent console or guitar amp(s) and the unit sounds nice, but it could sound so much fuller and balanced.

Now to my super big beef with this pedal. The person in production responsible for these control knobs needs to be drawn and quartered. A bit harsh I know, but these knobs are a pain in the arse as you will discover for yourself. They are made of milled aluminum. Durable and nice looking, right? Absolutely, but how is your bear pinch and grip? The circumferential milling has left these knobs like buttered metal when you are attempting to grip and turn them... extremely annoying as you are attempting to get those sweet spots for your settings.

I plan to keep and use the pedal. I will make some modifications to the control knobs for sure or spray stick-um on my fingers. I will augment the thin sound of the piezo with the additional sound processing of the pedal. The utility of having everything this pedal does in a small, compact format outweighs the inconveniences for me. But if you are a purest in your sound and ease of use, pass this one by. Zoom needs to re-work this pedal a bit. But I guess if it was a perfect product I would stop at this one and future purchases would go un-made.

Would love to hear comments of other users as well. Have a nice day.

I sent mine back. It definitely added to the sound but tweaking the effects was a bear. The manual just didn't tel you enough. It's very sturdy, nice looking, but it gives the impression that you can do things like make your acoustic 6 sound like a 12. I got no result even close. To me, music is hard enough and it's kind of an emotional and impulsive thing where you want to just play and not get bogged down in models and the like. Very rarely does any kind of modeller give you an interface that is "transparent"--i.e. one so easy it doesn't get in the way and become what you're doing. For the Zoom A 3 I would need consulting advice. So I bailed on it. I had just gotten rid of my electric guitar modelling amp and decided to just play acoustic. The promo for the A 3 made it look so easy that I went for it. But it turned out to be another time and study intensive think to get sounds that don't really enhance yur acoustic but over-power it with electric simulations of other things you won't use if you're an acoustic player.

I had previously purchased a pair of black Maxells with the inline mic from a brick-and-mortar. Found what I thought to be the same earphones, but in white here on Amazon. Since the price was relatively inexpensive, I bought two pair.

Pros

Good form and fit

Excellent price

Cons

Too much bass for podcasts, which is my primary listening activity.

So I bought these ear buds because they were $10. Obviously, I expected $10 sound, but as soon as I turned on my music walking to school, deep clean bass caught me off guard. All of the sound from high to low is beyond expectations. I was really surprised and pleased by these earbuds. To put it in perspective for you, I compared these to my old broken in skull candy titans, and these far surpassed them in clean low bass. These Maxells also lasted me for over a year before the left bud started bugging out and I ripped it off. Even with the ear bud and cord gone to the clicker, the clicker still works perfectly fine. I also abuse my headphones, so these lasting these long for the price is a winner for me. I'm not much to mind the buds, but they'll fit your ears. You just have to get used to them. They aren't any different from other buds. I love these Maxells.

I have tried 4 different sets of wireless headphones over the past couple of weeks and here are my thoughts on the Bose AE2w:

My first impression was that they looked really nice. I was concerned about the bluetooth module when ordering because it looked big and weird, but when they arrived it didn't seem to bulky and I let it go. I was more interested in the audio quality than the looks for this set.

After pairing them with my iPhone and iMac, I noticed that the volume was really low compared to my wired headphones. I tried pairing them only with one device at a time and the sound improved a bit but it was still low overall. When I tried using them with the provided cable, instead of the bluetooth module, the sound improved significantly (specially the lows) but I didn't buy these to use wired (ha!).

The sound quality was crisp and clear, but the balance was not -the lows were very disappointing. I tried different genres, and compared within headphones, including the Quiet Comfort 15 and the difference was very noticeable. This was one of the decisive factors for me, I wasn't looking for bass-amped headphones but I was expecting greater balance and better definition from Bose.

The main issue, besides the low volume and the poor sound balance, was sound leakage. When I had this at maximum volume (which wasn't loud enough), everyone around me could hear sound coming out of them. I did some test and I had to lower the volume to about 40% to be able to listen without disturbing the people around me. At that point, I wasn't happy with the volume level so I ended up using my other headset.

On the good side, they are extremely comfortable. You could wear this for hours (but really only 7, because you need to charge them then haha) and not get tired or feel pressure on your ears. The built quality is really good and this is the only bluetooth headset that can connect simultaneously to two devices, which is pretty neat.

Other people have complained about not having a hard case and a USB wall plug included, which would have been really nice, but neither of those were a big concern to me.

Overall, I think these will be better for watching videos than listening to music. Hopefully the next genration will address the audio quality and the volume issue, and add options like noise canceling, hard case, usb wall plugs and unicorns....

I compared AE2w(249$) with Beats Wireless(279$), Harman Kardon bt(200$?)

(1)Dispaly: AE2w is the best looking Bose Headphone. It is cool but still low key style. Beats gets a lot of attention and fashion design. HK bt is kind of strange style, like a robot I only used at home.

(2)Comfort: Bose is very light and so comfortable. But I did feel hot when I wear long time. Beats wirelss is on ear on design which has soft ear cushion. However, I felt uncomfortable bc I wear glass. HK bt is pretty comfortable but it is somehow heavy.

(3)Durability: AE2w is really durable and is pretty similar to AE2. But the AE2w's case is not good. I tried my Bose QC15 case that works with AE2w but I have to take that blue tooth device off. Beats wireless is like 90 percent plastic. I do not know it is durable I just bought a month.

(4)Noise Cancellation and Leakage: Bose AE2w is asgood as AE2 and it blocks and isolates lots of noise. Beats Wireless is better than SOLO hd in terms of sound isolation. HK bt is pretty good in this aspect. Others cannot hear me when I listen 40-50 percent.

(5)Sound Quality: AE2w's sound is BOSE signature sound and is pretty accurate and soft sounding. I did not get fatigues after long listening. Highs, mids, and lows are comfortable to wear. It does not have so much bass but it still good. Beats Wireless has too much bass and not clear sound. I think some people like this kind of sound but I prefer higher definition sound. HK bt's mids and highs are close to Bose ae2w, and Bass is better than AE2w but not as heavy as Beats.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program These are, without question, the most comfortable on-ear headphones that I own. I have wired Beats as well as wired noise canceling Bose, iLuv and some Sony noise canceling headphones. These new Bose are so light and amazingly comfortable. They are my new favorites.

Battery life is impressive. They charged the first time in under a half an hour, and I used them to listen to music and an audiobook that was about 8 hours. They didn't die but I recharged them to use the next day. The second charge took about 1.5 hours. I haven't had a chance to totally kill the battery to see how many actual hours it lasts.

The most important feature, the sound, truly is amazing. The bass is rich and deep. Everything is crystal clear. I could not be happier.

But what really surprised me was the range. I was listening to music on my iPad and cleaning the kitchen. Not thinking, because the headphones are so comfortable, I grabbed the garbage and took it out to the dumpster. I live in a third floor condo. I didn't take the elevator, but I went down three flights of stairs and across the parking lot. Finally it skipped a tiny bit while I was at the dumpster and I realized how far I had walked away from the iPad and had enjoyed crystal clear music.

This is the only pair of Bluetooth headphones I own, so I don't know whether or not to credit these or the iPad. However, I can tell you that I have a Bluetooth external speaker and it doesn't work at half of the distance I walked with these on.

Bose continues to be the best of the best in electronics and audio.

Read Best Reviews of Bose AE2w Bluetooth Headphones - Black Here

The original set I ordered was defective, it would not maintain a connection with either Motorola Razr or Razr Maxx. The replacement unit works fine. No issues connecting with Android or Apple (I pad gen 3) products.

I also own Bose QC 2 Headphone and I've seen some reviewers compare the AE2w's with the QC's, that's like comparing apples to oranges. The AE2w's are simply not going to give that level of sound quality, nor are they meant to.

That being said, for a Bluetooth headset these are good. The sound is quite good although the bass is a little thin, but that can be remedied by changing the audio settings on your device. The highs and mid-range come through quite well. Some audio quality is going to be lost because of the limitations of Bluetooth technology. The sound quality does get even better when using the supplied cable.

Pairing was very easy and I've had no problems with subsequent connections. Call quality is great on both ends. I've had no issues with volume. Those that say the volume isn't loud enough need to ditch the headphones and just sit three feet away from concert quality speakers. The headset is light and extremely comfortable, you can almost forget you have them on. These are not noise cancelling but the noise isolation is excellent.

One last note, I would recommend performing a firmware update before using them. Bose doesn't have it on their site yet (they need to get it there soon) but if you chat with Bose CS they will provide a link. The update process was painless.

Overall this is good Bluetooth headset. Can there be improvements? Yes, but that is true about any product.

Want Bose AE2w Bluetooth Headphones - Black Discount?

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I love this Bose Bluetooth headphone particularly of its build quality, sound, and comfort. This is what I like about this product :

very light weight (weighs about 4.5 oz) and comfortable to wear

nice padded over the ear materials which blocks off most of the exterior sound

easy to pair with my Android devices

excellent sound quality

What could be better with this product

the product comes in a soft case. A hard case for carrying this precious instrument would be preferrable

lack of noise cancelling function

no indicator for the battery charge level

For those who want to get a quality bluetooth product with comfortable wearing and premium quality sound, this is definitely one to consider

I got these after researching Ultrasone's HFI series and seeing some comments about how the ear pads could afford to be more comfortable. Also, because the stock pads are pleather, they can cause sweating after a period of use. So I picked up a pair of these as insurance when i bought my 580's. I couldn't have been happier with my decision.

When i first got my headphones, I didn't find them to be THAT uncomfortable. However, after slipping on these ear pads i realized just how inferior the stocks ones are. Won't cause you to sweat, super soft on your head, and still maintains great sound. Some may say that the velour causes some minor dampening to the bass, but it is just that, minor. It actually feels like the bass is even more controlled now.

Lastly, the only think that people might find is that if you have larger ears and wear earings, it may cause them to push lightly into your head and cause discomfort after time. It's usually after about an hour of wear that i start to feel it. Solution? Pretty obvious, just take your earings out! After i took them out, wore them for another 2-3 hours comfortably.

Bottom line, definitely worth getting and trying out for $20 or less.

These replacement pads are also a tight and exact fit for the Sony MDR-7506 Studio Headphones. In my honest opinion, the combination of these pads and the 7506's give you the best sound and comfort for your $$$. The only thing I can insist on is the use of a credit card to take the old pads off, and to slip the new pads into place. I really hope you consider the 7506's and these pads for a combination you will not be disappointed with for years to come!!

It's so important as a singer to be able to hear yourself clearly. I sing in a rock band and we play a lot of music that is very difficult to sing. Before these in ear monitors I would find myself shouting or straining my voice to hear better. Although our guitar player is a great sound man, there are still limits to how loud you can make the floor monitors before you start getting feedback. With these Shure monitors I can now hear myself very clearly and can control my volume in my head. Because the vocals are the only thing going through the PA, we use a mic to mic the band in the room and I add that mix in my ear as needed. Also at times, I pull one monitor partially out of my ear so I can hear the full band sound and my voice is still loud and clear in one ear. It has taken some getting used to but I highly recommend this product for singers in rock bands playing the club circuit. The only problem I really have is that sometimes an earpiece will come loose in my ear I finally found a fitting (from the many to choose from in the kit) that works better than the rest for me but I may upgrade the headphones eventually to the kind that are personally fitted for your ear. You really don't want to be fiddling with your ears in front of a crowd! This product was fairly priced compared to other models and well worth the money.

These monitors are great. I wouldn't go back to wedge monitors even if it meant I would get paid. These monitors have saved my hearing and have upped my musicianship. It's great to be able to hear everyone else play over my drumming. This is also a great rehearsal tool because you can plug in a metronome into your mix also!

This is a reasonably priced in ear monitor system. After many decades of performing with less than perfect vocal monitors this product is a god send. I can now hear my vocals at the end of the set, which is usually the loudest and most chaotic sounding when using the typical floor wedges. The added bonus of protecting my hearing is immeasurable. This is a great product.

The overall sound quality of this product is decent, but not great. The receivers are small and can clip onto a belt easily, so work out very well.

The biggest disappointment with this product is that if ANYTHING is between your receiver and the transmitter, it cuts out. If the lead singer walks in front of the transmitter and gets between you, it'll cut out. If you have a few people standing in a row on stage and the transmitter is parallel to that line, then only the first person can get a mix.

If you're going to be moving on stage, spend a little more money and get a product that isn't going to cut on you constantly every time something gets between you and the transmitter.

I purchased this product to enable my band to have a "silent practice" in one of our band mate's apartments. Practice / Rehearsal spaces are expensive and not always ideal. The cost of renting one cannot really be justified if you are just getting together to jam, work on new material, or audition a new band member. We all live in the city in apartments so the idea of a "silent practice" was very attractive (no more angry neighbors).

With a price point of $299.00 this thing almost pays for itself after one practice and is certainly in-line with other similar set-ups. I purchased this to own but a band could easily split this 3 or 4 ways and get out for almost nothing.

There is a lot of information on their website but there are a few of things to note before you buy.

First, if you truly want a silent practice space you will need an electronic drum kit (i.e., V-Drums). It is possible to use an acoustic drum kit and the technique involved there is described on their website.

Second, guitar players and bass players will either need an amplifier with a stereo line out or an amp modeling floor pedal (my choice as it fits in a backpack and requires no heavy lifting).

Third, you will need to procure some stereo patch cords. As a guitar player I only had mono patch cables. The JamHub takes a stereo 1/4 inch input from your respective floor pedal / modeling amp / amplifier. My floor pedal in particular has a left-mono-out and a right-stereo-out so I purchased a stereo patch cable that was stereo 1/4 inch on one end and split mono 1/4 inch on the other. Guitar center has these and should be able to direct you. Of course check your user manuals for info on your particular device.

Finally, headphones. So far our crappy $15 $60 (low mid end) level of headphones have been working great! You will most likely need to pick up some 1/8 inch to 1/4 inch adapters here though as all the inputs and outputs on the JamHub are 1/4 inch. These are cheap and widely available. If your headphone cables are less than 9' you may also want to consider some extensions.

The JamHub performs great. I love it for a couple of reasons.

First it consolidates both mixer and headphone amp into one device. In doing so its nice and compact and extremely portable. This allows you to practice anywhere with minimal setup and fuss. You have one power adapter to worry about and no additional cables (beyond ones used to connect your instruments) either.

Another advantage over a more typical headphone amp + mixer combination (and possibly the coolest feature) is unlike a typical headphone amp, which only has one level for the incoming mixed signal, each person connected to the JamHub gets and their very own INDIVIDUAL MIX! To clarify, this means that everyone in the band can adjust the level for everyone else in the mix to their preference.

For example, as a guitar player I prefer to hear the myself, then vocals, then drums, then others. With the JamHub I can turn myself up, then dial in the vocals next, then drums, then others without affecting anyone else's mix! Each additional band member can do exactly the same thing. Think of it as having your very own sound guy to mix in just what you want to hear as he would for you in your monitors on stage. This is truly amazing and solves ALL volume issues usually associated with a typical practice.

Everything about this product is well thought out and and really creates an "ideal" environment to write / play & rehearse music without any infighting about volume or disturbing your neighbors (finally we can practice past 10pm!).

I hope this review helps you in your decision.

If you have ever Jammed in the basement, hauled out all of your equipment and been shut down at 8:00pm, you need a JamHub. This head set mixer allows as many as 7 members of the band to plug in. In our case we have 2 guitars, 1 drum and an MP3 player. We get together at lunch time once a week. No noise no fuss. We can be setup in under 15 minutes. Its great to be able to set the mix in each headphone differently. No more volume wars. No more rattling the walls. The sound is crazy full and makes playing with other musicians a treat. I have used this with the guys at work for the last month. I have had guys over the house after the kids go to bed and we can play without getting the look, from the wife, that makes us sad. Very easy to use, they guys picked up on it right away. We each set our master volume using the indicator. Get it to blink green, when it hits red back it off a little and you are done. Now go to your section, adjust your headphone volume and then turn up the mixer pots for each instrument. I contacted support with a couple of questions before I purchased and they were friendly and professional and they were excited that I was excited. Very Cool product.

I've used HearBack systems on stage for the last 10 years or so, and love the Jamhub. It does essentially the same thing as the HB, but is MUCH more affordable. I can now practice, jam, record, whatever I want, whenever I want. No one has called the police since I bought the system and my neighbors couldn't be happier about the peace and quiet...

We bought this keyboard for my son. He was starting piano classes and we wanted him to practice at home. This keyboard is perfect! It has grand piano sound and also all the songs and voices you'd expect from a modern keyboard. It is very light, it doesn't take up much space and we have it working with batteries. In our case, batteries last +/8 weeks. We find the user recorder very helpful as is showing the notes played on the display screen.

The stand is OK, the headphones have a great feature which is a volume control on them. We got a M-Audio SP-2 US65010 Sustain Pedal Piano Style Sustain Pedal for Keyboards (excellent) and a Yamaha PKBB1 Single Braced Adjustable X-Style Keyboard Bench (very good). Now the whole family is into playing piano ! Recommended.

You are not getting a professional concert item, but for home and travel play, you can't do better than this nicely priced unit. We have been using ours for a few months and it is holding up fine under daily usage. A load of instrument sounds and effects, most of which we don't use. We select a lot of the traditional instruments, and although the timbre (sound) is not great on some, we mostly use the piano and harpsichord, which have a very nice tone. Recommend you try piano 123, since we like that better than the default grand sound (001). See what you think, but you aren't likely to be disappointed if you want something pretty portable to practice and play on. Please note that we don't use ours much with batteries, but instead find somewhere to plug in, so we don't know how the battery life is.

I give this keyboard a five star rating. I have a 950 sq. ft. condo in Chicago and the sound more than fills the space with song. My wife grew up playing a piano and this was a perfect gift for her.

My five stars is based on the realistic deep piano sound the 320 brings, we really dont use any other functions just so you know where i'm coming from.

I recommend it to condo dwellers.

I've been moving between temporary apartments for a while now while I save up for a house, but I couldn't wait for that to stop to start learning the keyboard like I'd always wanted to. Absent a teacher and the funds for a full 88-key keyboard or a standard piano, I eventually settled on this with some research and the help of some piano playing friends.

The keyboard itself is great. It comes with an instruction manual detailing it's functions (you'll definately want to read this) and a sample DVD showing off some of Yamaha's video "get to know your keyboard" products. While informative, I didn't find these DVD episodes to be very helpful for learning to play the keyboard so I haven't watched them since. The keyboard sounds crisp and clear and works well with headphones. The keys all work nicely and the samples of other instruments sound good as well. The included "learn to play" songs are helpful enough in that the LED screen displays what key is making each note, but it's pretty quick and will take some time to get used to.

So the keyboard is solid, but what about the accessories in this bundle? While my keyboard arrived nice and in one piece, my headphones were already in several pieces. One earphone was entirely broken, but luckily the 3.5mm adapter is still there and that works like a charm. The one speaker that does work for me is fine though, so I suppose that's something.

The stand seems like it wasn't made for the YPT-320, the model I got it with. There are grooves on the bottom of the keyboard to help the stand hold it in place, but this stand is ever so slightly off point with them. It still holds the keyboard well enough though and as long as I don't lift the keyboard or try to move it off the stand, it doesn't move.

The power adapter is fine. I was a little disappointed that it didn't come with the keyboard. Whatever.

I just received my keyboard in the mail today. It arrived in a very short period. I am happy about that.

I started practicing shortly afterwards. I used the feature that teaches you how to play a whole list of songs, and I think that feature is what makes this keyboard worth the wait. I like the way it looks. It's very light, it looks nice, and the sound is wonderful. I am glad I came across this.
