I'm very satisfied with the headphones, it has an excellent build qualitiy and sound.

And the volume is higher than others that i own.

The protection in his 3.5mm connector is really a must have on any headphone, is a little heavyweight but it worth the price.

Really good sound, awesome when paired with a virtual surround sound card!

Sound is pretty leveled, not very bass heavy, light and airy mids/highs.

Sound cancellation on these would get a 38% out of 100%.

I am an amateur/hobbiest musician, sound engineer and producer, mostly working from my apartment. I have just bought these to replace my of Sennheiser HD 280 pro cans, they lasted me 4 years and served their time well. I needed something pretty quickly and got the Gemini as a gamble for the price. I stress I dont use these for general music listening, rather they are used as they are intended as a studio reference headset and my review is based on that use.

1. COMFORT

My biggest issue with the Sennheisers was that after an hour or so they really started to irritate my head and pinch my ears, especially when wearing my glasses. The Geminis are REALLY comfortable, I've been wearing them for almost 2 hours straight now with my glasses on and Im still relaxed, the padding is really nice and forms a soft cup around the ear thats not intrusive or pinching.

2. SOUND

I loved how "uncolored" the sound was through the Sennheiser. As an amateur at fisrt I found it a little harsh to record and work on my music with the unforgiving nature of the Sennheiser, i wanted everything to sound loud and bassy, but I quickly learned that hearing your recording uncolored allows you to really define the real sounds you want to make, which ultimately end up in a much greater balanced output when mixed and mastered. I'm slightly disappointed that the Gemini are a little bassy and the top end is not as crisp than Im used to, perhaps they are more intended for DJ use. But they are still pretty flat. This is why I dropped to 4 stars.

3. BUILD

The headset feels sturdy and well constructed, the lead is a coiled one (like the HD pro 280s) which I have no problem with and the jack is gold plated with a s screw on 1/4 inch. Feels like a good quality product. They come well presented, laying in a felt covered bed in the box.

Considering the headset is really comfortable and less harsh than the Sennheisers, Ill probably be temped to use these for general music listening in addition to the sound work Im doing. Im not sure how happy a true sound pro would be with them, but for me and my use Im delighted particularly because of the price.. Oh and the nice felt pouch they give you to store them in!

I'm no audiophile, but I really like these headphones. They sound great to my ear, are solidly built, and wear comfortably for long periods. I find the seal pretty tight around the ears, so they block out noise effectively indoors.

Keep in mind that the cord is coiled, so it has a bit of weight that bounces around while in motion if you've got it connected to a smaller device.
