I was skeptical about this 1w head, as I wondered if it would be enough power for me. After having it for about 5 months, it's been quite good for me, even through my 4x12. However, if you're going to run a distortion pedal through it, it's somewhat hard to get a lot of volume from it, since you have to have the gain as low as possible almost, or the sound quality just gets muddy. I run a Metal Muff through it, and if I turn the volume all the way up, I can definitely hear it anywhere in my house. However, I can't imagine putting it outside and expecting the whole neighborhood to hear it, for example. Maybe about 4-6 houses down, they'll hear it a little bit. Anyway, it's definitely good for home use. Also, I was disappointed with the absence of a 3-band EQ, but the ISF works great. All the way to the left, you get your Master of Puppets tone, and at 1 o'clock, I got what I believed to be a good Megadeth tone. If I had to admit what I like least about this amp, it's the reverb. It's not very noticeable, and it almost seems absent when I run my distortion pedal through it, but I wasn't expecting much, anyway. Overall, it's a great amp, but I imagine saving up an extra $100 and getting the HT-5H would be more worth it.
