It's a standard XLR female to 1/8" stereo male cable. Worked like a charm for a video shoot I was doing with a Canon 5D and a 7D. We just used a Senheisser shotgun and went straight into the 7D with the adapter. Audio quality was very good and didn't require much adjusting in post but that also depends on your mic. The 6' length is ideal for sit down interviews. Might want a longer cable, or just extend it with a regular XLR cable if you're doing something like a Red Carpet interview, which is what we were filming. Will buy these again.This is a very high quality cable. The metal part of the XLR is heavy. This is great. Seems that it will last a long time. used this cable to connect a microphone to my cannon hf s31 it worked great it is constructed pretty good as well great product over all i recommend it.:)
